Instead, I'd opt for a hands-free dog leash (also available on Amazon), which has a stretchier cord, more durable clips, and handholds on both ends. You could also use it as a leash for your dog!

I like the color and how the bungee is protected by the wrapping. In calm water, it keeps the paddle affixed to the boat. br>br>The small plastic clip that comes on the end is my problem. When my paddle got caught in a current, it slipped off - The attachment mechanism isn't very well thought out.
Keeping my paddle and kayak connected is simple and effective. I'm deducting one star because it's a little on the expensive side. For what it is, it is reasonably priced.
I was hoping to use it for my paddle. I tried several times, but the velcro would not stay in place. After that, I attach it to my board, then my paddle, and finally my fin. Then, as I begin to lower my board into the water, my paddle begins to float away. This happens every time I go. I didn't think it was worth the money I spent on it.
After all of the attention to detail and high-quality materials, a plastic clip at the end appears to be an afterthought. I'm crossing my fingers that it doesn't break. Aside from that, everything is fine.
The bright color appealed to me, and the piece is well-made.
