Questions & Answers
We simply mounted them to our dock using the included screws. They were fantastic because they made loading and unloading our paddle boards and kayaks so simple.
The mounts themselves would be strong enough, but I'm not sure how stable the surface on your RV would be with a board attached, especially while moving. I believe the wind would rip the mounts right off your RV if the board caught enough wind. This is simply my viewpoint.
This product is designed to be hung on a wall. You wouldn't be able to drill into a bulkhead, in my opinion.
There's no reason they can't, but make sure the rails are strong enough to support the weight and are at least 3/4" wide enough for the bolts to pass through. Mine are attached to an aluminum fence post and work perfectly.

I recently bought my second set of brackets. My first set rusted and fell apart after a few years, which was to be expected given that I live on the coast of North Carolina, but the product is great for outside storage, especially in windy conditions. My only criticism is that, like many others, this company produces a solid and durable product but then provides insufficient hardware to install it. It was difficult to install the supplied screws without damaging them, even after drilling pilot holes and applying wax to the supplied screws. The company includes an offset screwdriver, which is a joke because the phillips driver's size is much smaller than the size of the included phillip head screws. In retrospect, I wish I had purchased stainless screws instead of using the ones that came with the kit.
These racks were used in conjunction with plastic rail clamps to secure the rack to the side of a sailboat. This allows me to store a paddleboard outside of the lifelines and off the deck, freeing up space and removing obstacles for people walking on deck as well as sail lines. br>br>The racks are well-made, with a drainage hole at the bottom of the U shape to allow any water that enters the tubing to drain. br>br>I like how the straps lift the board off the hard metal rack and suspend it in the air like a hammock. The finish on a nice fiberglass board is protected with this.
The bracket is great for a pontoon boat, and it looks great. When you trailer your boat, however, these stick out too far, especially if you have a double set. After a half-hour of work, I created a bracket to allow the frame to hang from the fence instead of drilling and bolting it to the boat. I'm going to get some Velcro straps to wrap around the bottom of the fence and secure it. This allows you to hang your boards on the side in under a minute. Too bad Suspenz doesn't make a nice bracket, I would have bought it.
The rack is in great shape! Suspendz has a lot of other cool stuff, so check them out. They make brackets for their racks that make mounting and dismounting a breeze, which I used on the side of our RV. For fulltiming and getting our boards off the ground, this is a fantastic setup. Even though I unmount them for travel, they are so sturdy that you could probably drive down the road with the board in the rack.
This is a fantastic deal. My fishing SUP dwarfs any other I've seen paddling around waterways. It's 14 feet long and was made for fishing, so it needed a sturdy holder. I was a little concerned at first, but this thing is fantastic; it securely holds my board against my dock and looks fantastic.
Others had modified this for use on boats, which I noticed. This worked perfectly after bending a piece of flat stock aluminum bar into a bracket and adding pipe insulation. This should be a possibility for the manufacturer to consider.
These are exceptionally well-made. I followed other people's advice and used something a little heavier than the supplied screws. After all the sun and rain this year, I'm curious to see how they'll look next year. They should be fine, in my opinion.
The boards are well-fitting and the product is excellent. It is simple to adjust. It appears to be impervious to harm. Love it.
