I am impressed by how sturdy they are! The rod holders need to have backings, as there is a lot of stress on them and they will tear out if they are screwed into the wall. One of the best things is how easy it is to store and remove.

The rod holder can be placed at a variety of angles

In the fishing rod holders on my 21ft Striper seaswirl bow rider, this was used to hold my paddleboard and surfboard. The boards are held over the sides of the boat so it makes great use of the space. However, it may be difficult to park between the pylons when the boat is loaded.

This rack works with all angles of fishing rod holders so it is A hand rail bolted to the boat acted as a handrail for the boards. I fastened them down with crank-down straps. I was able to get it to work in 2 minutes or less I avoid using it on long trips or when the ocean is very choppy and winds are very strong. But it can withstand 3 ft chop with the straps getting loose. As a result, I had to relocate my bimini top brackets four inches closer to the inside of the side walls to be able to attach it while using the boat. My experience with the product has been good (good value for the price), and I plan on ordering another one in the spring so I can bring both surfboards and a kayak along.
