Yes, they are sold as a pair. This is a great option for mounting on the wall and saving space on the floor.
We have some older Tsunami 140s with a 24" width. Fits perfectly, with plenty of room left over. A larger kayak could easily be used. The racks are fantastic.
Selected User Reviews For Suspenz Jay Rack, Yellow, 24" x 22" (11-0001)
The Suspenz JAY Rack is simple to set up (two screws), and the pair securely holds my kayak against the garage wall; kayaks are easy to load and unload. The strap is easy to adjust and does not need to be adjusted again once it is set. One for each of my kayaks, I purchased three of them. Just be careful not to hang them too high on the wall, as it can be difficult to lift the kayak over the front "J" part if the rack is too high. This is something I'm learning on my own.
It's the perfect size for our 14'6" tandem kayak. The kayak is easily accessible but out of the way because it is mounted on the garage wall.
It is very simple to set up. It was beneficial to follow the simple instructions. It's simple to put your kayak in place once you've adjusted the straps. Your kayak will not come into contact with any metal parts, as stated in the product description. This is important to me because my kayak is made of a fiberglass/Kevlar composite, and I don't want scratches on it.
We used to hang our canoe from the ceiling, but we recently relocated to a location where a car and a canoe are no longer feasible. We were fortunate enough to come across this wall rack. It saved us from having to store the canoe outside, and the rack is extremely durable and simple to set up.
What you pay for is exactly what you get. Installing it was a piece of cake. It took a little finagling with the velcro to find the best "setting" for my particular kayaks, but these things are fantastic. We'll see how they hold up to New England weather over time because they're mounted outside. So far, they've held the 'yaks together in the face of severe wind and rain, and they've done a fantastic job.
As advertised, it was very simple to install. The cost isn't much more than the hard sided rack (which is suspended on metal with padding), so I recommend spending the extra $20 because this is likely the only rack you'll ever need. Until you've amassed a kayak armada! I also ignored their recommendation to take a beer break.
It is simple to put together. With ease, it can hold an 88-pound kayak. Feel safe in the knowledge that it will not fall out.
