Yes, one kayak will be supported by two hangers.
It is possible, in my opinion. I bought mine for a fairly large Kayak and it worked out perfectly.
It ought to work perfectly. I'd simply space the hangers further apart than I did for my 10-foot rack. It should be able to support around 100 pounds.
Yes, as long as the wall anchors are made of concrete.

My only minor quibble is that the screws that come with it are the incorrect type for the flange attachment point; only a true perfectionist would bother to replace them, which I did not. The hardware is designed to be mounted to sheetrock, but I'm not sure I'd do that given the amount of flexibility you have with spacing (you should be able to find some studs!). I didn't bother looking for studs because I was shooting straight into 70-year-old redwood siding. This location only gets sun for a few minutes each mid-day. There isn't a single day in the year when it isn't summer, and there aren't any I'm very pleased.
I knew I needed to find a good storage spot in our garage after buying a kayak for my fiance for Christmas. I took a chance and am happy to report that I was not let down. Every aspect of this kayak mount surpassed my expectations. The padding on the mounting bars does an excellent job of preventing scratching and damage. br>br>After a few months, I purchased my own kayak. This is the second time I've bought this exact set. This item receives an A+ from me.
We'll see how the coatings hold up since it's mounted on the outside of the north shed wall for summer use. The brackets are sturdy, and the mounting points are well-placed and of high quality. I screwed a vertical 2x4 to the siding and mounted the hooks on it, one katak above the other, where I wanted them up and down. The mounting screws are inadequate, but I replaced them with heavier and longer star drives, which worked fine. For ease of use, I put my kayaks on the cockpit out (with a cockpit cover for bugs) and they fit perfectly on two 11-foot kayaks. There are five and eleven footers available.
For our kayaks, we purchased two sets of these. Installing them was a breeze. We did make sure there were at least two screws in each set of holes in the studs, as they are solid and do not move. Since installation, we've removed and replaced the kayaks several times with no loosening of the hanger. This is far superior to having our kayaks strewn across the garage floor. If we needed more, I would place another order.
I added 2x4s next to the studs for extra support, and these wall hangers are strong, sturdy, and simple to install. It feels good to be able to lift the kayak off the ground and not have to worry about it tipping over.
The kayak weighs 66 pounds, so the hooks aren't under any strain. I also swung my 79-pound Kaku Wahoo kayak into the hooks with no problems. The hooks are strong enough to hold 80 pounds, and I highly recommend them if you're looking to save money.
This is an outstanding product. Note: if you're going to mount hangers to 2x4 with the screws that came with the package Preparing ahead of time is essential. holes to be drilled Use a drill bit that is smaller in diameter than the screw.
My only worry was that they wouldn't be able to hold one of my kayaks, which is quite sturdy and heavy. These were able to handle the weight with ease, and I would not hesitate to buy them again if the need arose.
