Quite the opposite. We've mentioned how fantastic this purchase was several times. We adore it!
One refers to a pair of hooks.
The most significant distinction is that with the easy hanger, the kayak is supported by the straps rather than the hanger itself.
Although they come with hardware, I recommend investing in a stud finder and three screws. To make the mounting more secure, use inch screws to drive them into the studs.

It can't protect or secure your board, but the way the straps are arranged, with the lower straps providing cushioning for the kayak or SUP rather than cushions that wear out and degrade in the sun, is elegant. My 15' paddle boards, on the other hand, lacked the circumference to allow the straps to be expanded - even on the most restrictive setting - to remove the board's edge from the metal arm Only the flimsy nylon strap keeps it from getting scratched, and even that wouldn't keep the board in place in a light breeze. So, after putting in a fair amount of effort to mount two sets, I had no choice but to return them right away. Suggestions that these can handle SUPs are unkind to everyone.
Installation is extremely simple. It took me about 45 minutes to lay out and install two racks. They seem to be well-made and sturdy. made. My Hobie Mirage Oasis is a rather portly kayak, and it fits very well. I anticipate many years of service. Although the straps are long enough to wrap around the boat's girth, they could easily be shortened to fit a smaller boat. The weight of my kayak is 80 pounds. a few extra pounds, but this rack isn't complaining in the least. I added some foam blocks to the weight bearing straps to help spread the load on the hull even more, but that was mostly because I had them on hand. Overall, I'm very pleased with this purchase.
The Kayaks do not actually rest on the rigid section of the mount, as shown in the second picture (circled). In addition, these mounts are shaded (no direct sunlight) to avoid excessive UV exposure. a destroyer made of this material (the boats are older than 25 years) You continue to look fantastic). The solution will be completed with the arrival of cockpit covers (B01945NEYA). br>br>I really like how flexible the straps are- They make it simple to suspend the Kayaks at the proper height; as well as securing the mounts firmly Finally, these are of significant worth. br>br> I would have paid more if they were made in the United States because of the quality for the price.
The first is for boat levitation, and the second is for clip adjustment). It fit my 13 foot 60 pound Old Town Next hybrid kayak/canoe with ease and you can raise the gap as much as you'd like. 4 heavy screws per bar for studs. br>br>It fit my 13 foot 60 pound Old Town Next hybrid kayak/canoe with ease and you can raise the gap as much as you'd like. I'm not sure if these will rust over time (I noticed a few spots where the paint may have bubbled, but they were minor). br>br>I looked for a good place to store my boat for a few weeks and couldn't find anything better than this- I would strongly suggest it.
The construction, durability, and ease of installation have all surpassed my expectations! A stud finder, level, and tape measure are all recommended tools, as well as a drill or impact driver for driving the screws. SEARCH FOR YOUR STUDS! Instead, use the included anchors to hang photos from your kayaking adventures:.
These have been fantastic for storing our two kayaks. My husband constructed a wooden structure with wheels on the bottom to allow us to easily move our kayaks. The finishing touch came in the form of these simple racks. Using these, we can keep our kayaks safe and secure. Believe me when I say that simple is preferable to complicated. They do exactly what they're supposed to do while taking up the smallest amount of space possible.
I had to drill a hole and then drive the screws in with a screwdriver. At waist height, it is simple to load the kayak. The straps are unnecessary because the racks are sufficient, but they are useful to have just in case. When I get a new kayak, I'll purchase another set.
This was a gift for my ten-year-old son. a kayak that is 5 feet long I also purchased a cover and hung it on a wall outside because I did not have access to a garage. Wind gusts of up to 50 miles per hour are common where I live. My kayak would have been thrown clear across the yard before this hangar, but it has easily weathered two major storms so far. It's something I wish I'd purchased sooner. Using my battery-operated drill, it was also simple to install.
