This is a high-quality item. however, complete transparency - I haven't yet put it in the water. The spool itself has a light but solid feel to it. It's well-made and attractive, with a flat line that spools and unspools without much fuss. It came with a swiveled leader that was nicely set up for attachment to your SMB. The bolt snap is a good option, but it's not a long-term solution. the- bolt snap, mill This spool, in my opinion, compares favorably to Apeks, and in a bang-for-your-buck kind of way. for- When it comes to buck comparisons, this spool comes out on top. br>br>A couple of minor criticisms: the finger hole may not be large enough if you have large fingers and wear thick gloves. The spool holes don't have really rounded edges, and while not sharp, they could cause abrasion over time; the line is of adequate thickness, but I would have preferred to see an upgauged line; and the line is of adequate thickness, but I would have preferred to see an upgauged line.
This is a fantastic short film. It has the appearance and feel of something much more expensive, and the line that comes with it is fantastic. Even after four dives, the excess line was used to tie some bolt snaps, which did not stretch or loosen. For use with cold water gloves, the double ender is a bit small. I got rid of the weird swivel that came with it, but you might like it.
Excellent product delivery, with a well-designed, ready-to-use design. With dry suit gloves, the finger hole worked well. Swivel at SBM to keep twists at bay while rewinding. Reel Clips are simple to insert into reel holes and double the length of the lines. Exceptional value;.
I almost gave it five stars, but mine had a slightly damaged corner that I had to file down so it wouldn't cut me while spinning. I've used it to drag a Dive Flag and deploy a SMB from a distance of 30 feet. I haven't gone all the way through it yet.
This item appears to be of similar quality to reels costing around $100, but at 25% of that cost. The line is flat and appears to be very strong. I can fit a finger and thumb through the hole with 1 finger and thumb. gloves with a thickness of 5mm I haven't had the opportunity to test it in the water yet, but I am confident that it will perform admirably.
I haven't tried it yet, but I am excited to. This has the same look and feel as the apeks reels, which are cool but way overpriced. Alternatively, you could just buy an x-ray machine. deep snap, and you've got yourself something that should have cost four times as much.
When the clip came undone, I had the opportunity to roll up the 100-foot line in Monterey Bay, where my dive buddies were waiting. The reel, on the other hand, is quite nice.
It's a nice spool, but it'll take 6 weeks to arrive.
