I received the case quickly and it was exactly what I was looking for. It's made of tough, heavy-duty plastic. The clasp, like the hinges, feels solid. The foam is simple to customize, but if this is your first time cutting it, I recommend watching a YouTube video on how to do so. br>One thing to keep in mind is that the product may differ from the image. Although I am pleased, the product does include a center lock hole. Even the packaging depicts something other than what you will receive. I only wanted to use a single lock anyway (tsa approval requires two heavy-duty lock spots on each side).
Indeed. But what about the next piece of yet-to-be-determined yet-to-be determined yet-to-be purchased equipment that was not sold with a case but should have been? This isn't the first time I've purchased a case in desperate need of a product; in the end, all of my impulsive purchases have proven to be fruitless. the- moment- Cases that have been purchased have found a useful application. They're occasionally swapped because I've discovered a better use for them than the one they're in now. A well- A well-made case, such as this yellow one, will make it simple for me to transport my equipment, protect it, and quickly identify what's inside.
This case's construction appears to be of high quality. So far as I can tell, it's on par with Pelican. I have a Pelican 1120 case that is similar in quality to this one. The foam is firmer and a little more difficult to pick and pluck, but not to the point where it bothers me. br>br>As you can see in the photo, I was able to get a DSLR body (Canon T3i), 18-55mm lens, and a tripod for a reasonable price. In this case, you'll find a 55mm lens, a 24mm lens, an extra battery, and a travel battery charger (close it without crushing anything). The case would still close with the 24mm lens mounted, but it was extremely tight, so I removed it. Yes, I could have gotten a slightly larger case and kept the lens mounted, but my goal in getting this was to have a smallish box that I could throw in a backpack, throw in the car, or take on a plane and be as compact as possible while still holding all of the essentials. and, more importantly, even a SlightLY larger case (even the Amazon version) would have cost me anywhere from 50 to 100% more, depending on the options. In general, I'm pleased with my purchase and would make it again.
This has held up to being kicked around in my car's back hatch, and it's been ideal for storing a large lithium jumper pack for jump starting vehicles. I bought it over a year ago, and it still looks and works the same way it did when I first got it and modded it for my needs. br>br>Because the battery has the capacity and chemical potential to cause serious harm, I only feel comfortable carrying it around in a fire bag inside a relatively airtight case. I was able to perfectly match the size of the bag and battery, as well as the charging cable, and include a convenient storage slot for the manual, thanks to the pick and pull foam. br>br>I've had to crack the case open to get to the battery on days when the temperature dropped low enough to create a vacuum seal, so the air release valve under one latch comes in handy. br>br>The price is low for what you get, and I'd definitely use another box like this for a similar device; in fact, when the pandemic is over and we can travel again, I'm going to get another one for packing a camera and other sensitive and easily crushed electronics.
My GoPro and accessories fit perfectly in this case. I couldn't have asked for a better deal for the money. Yes, it isn't as tough or as strong as a pelican case, but since 90% of people aren't going to drive their case over with a truck, this is plenty strong. It's also less heavy than a pelican case. br>Pro Tip: If you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, try using the When deciding where all of your items will go in the case, start by drawing a grid with 24 x 18 squares covering a 9" x 6" area on some grid paper. 75"br>br>Also, do yourself a favor and pull the foam pieces out neatly with a razor blade.
I began by placing an order for the SE-100, which is a smaller version of the SE-100 My Sig Sauer P229 pistol required a 120 case, which was too small. I liked the quality of the case so much that I decided to keep the small one and order another in this size. The hinges and clasps compare favorably to Pelican cases in terms of sturdiness, especially considering the much lower price. I don't need the waterproof capabilities, but the design and gasket seem just as rugged as Pelican's, so I have no doubts that it would keep your gear dry. My P229 fits perfectly, with room for two additional magazines, and a full-sized semiautomatic pistol like a Glock 17 will also fit (see photos above). For all of my rugged case needs, Seahorse will be getting my business in the future.
This was purchased so that I could take my "good" camera on kayaking trips. It appears to be well made; the foam blocks are easy to work with but not so easy that they come loose where you don't want them to, and the small size of the blocks allows for a lot of customization. It's a little bigger than I needed, and it can be a pain to maneuver in the boat. I'd consider buying one if Seahorse made one with a shorter length/width but the same depth. br>br>I only gave it a neutral rating for toughness because it hasn't yet been put to the test. I may try a submergence test at some point in the future, and if I do, I'll update this review.
Well, Amazon has requested that I write a review right now. I have two of these boxes. br>br> I followed the advice of the other reviewers and wrote everything down on graph paper. I found a generator online. br>br>The pluck foam works fine; just take your time. br>br>I was only disappointed to discover that the lid on my new box was not airtight; if it isn't airtight, it isn't waterproof. If I press the lid down before putting the right lock in, it seals for a few seconds before losing its seal after about 5 minutes. br>br>I'm hoping it will keep the non-waterproof part of my GoPro safe while strapped to off-road vehicles. I suppose we'll find out.
