Seahorse SE-540 Waterproof Protective Hard Case Without Foam

My motorcycle's old trunk had finally died - Okay, maybe whipping the box around on those Jeep trails at such a high speed contributed to its demise. So I looked high and low for a box in this style, and the Seahorse was the perfect match. Dimensions, strength, waterproofness, Made in the USA, and, of course, a great price, despite the fact that I void the warranty by drilling mounting holes in the bottom. It's not a problem for me because I'm happy with the price. It's now attached to the rear rack of my KLR650 with a two-bolt system. Inside, there's a two-way ham radio with a 2m/70cm antenna. It still has room for my first-aid kit, tool kit, emergency food, and spare parts. The latches and locks are also in excellent working order. I'm very pleased with the Seahorse product; I've thrown the bike around a lot on Jeep trails and the case has shown no signs of failure.

These boxes come in a variety of sizes, and I have about five of them. They're fantastic for riding ATVs in. There hasn't been a single leak in any of the boxes. Extremely long lasting. This size was perfect for storing tools and other essentials in case of an emergency while hiking. Camera equipment had previously been stored in containers of various sizes. We've been through some rough weather, including downpours that made it difficult to see in front of the buggy. Make sure the contents of the boxes are completely dry before putting them together.

First and foremost, as at least one other reviewer pointed out, it does not include foam. It may have done so in the past, but it no longer does. Nonetheless, it appears to be an effective moisture barrier. They threw in some of the same documents as well as 30 pounds of weights into the pool. I was looking for moisture for the better part of a day, and that's exactly what I got.

To my surprise, the Seahorse SE540 Protective Case without Foam actually came with foam (pick and pluck), which was very welcome. I have extensive experience with another highly popular brand of nylon plastic waterproof case of all sizes and dimensions used in some of the harshest environments and frequently severely overloaded, but the Seahorse, in my opinion, is as good as that other product for the money. Plastic thickness and density is well engineered and thicker in those vulnerable areas like lid centers, sidewalls, corners, and so on. Hinges and latches are all very well made and this particular model has The handle is hinged with strength and folds completely flat against the case in the down position, and it has a full perimeter rubber/silicon gasket to keep it waterproof. For the price, this is a fantastic box!.

Like some of the other reviews for other dual sport bikes, I used it as a top case on my Super Tenere. The yamaha cases are nearly $400 each. I chose this and ordered slightly longer bolts from Amazon that fit the factory threads, drilled a few holes with fender washers, and was done for a fraction of the price of the yamaha case. I'm going to order more of these cases in various sizes for my side luggage.

This case has a deeper design than the majority of the Pelican line, and it appears to be just as good as my Pelican case. Mine was purchased for photographic equipment, but it could also be used as a gun case or ammo box. Materials that are solid and durable. Pelican and Kodiak are both more expensive.

Wow, this box is insanely cool and well-made. It doesn't get any better than this, and it's made in the United States. I have one in my off-road vehicle for first aid and survival, but I'm getting another to mount on the back of a motorcycle.

For my pond area, I needed a waterproof container to store fish food. My other container leaked, and the pellets were wasted as a result of mold. This is the perfect size for me because I can store enough food in it for at least two weeks without having to return to the barn. The barn is a long way from the pond. The case suits me perfectly. It was a little pricey at first, but I believe it was worth it in the end.
