This is a case that both my wife and I adore. It also came with a lid insert. I've been meaning to write a review for a while because when we were looking for a hard case, we looked everywhere to see exactly how much gear would fit in it because no one within 100 miles carried this size, and when we got it, we realized it was smaller than we expected. So this is all of the gear we were able to fit in it, and it was a tight fit to say the least. It's ideal for the job and can accommodate a large amount of equipment. Most (if not all) airlines consider this size to be too large for a carry-on bag. If you only need a carry-on, the 1510, which is also a great case but slightly smaller, is the way to go. .
I put money aside to purchase this amazing case. The wait was well worth it! You must simply recognize that you have valuable equipment; do you want to protect it with cloth while traveling from shoot to shoot, or would you prefer to have peace of mind that your equipment is safe? Purchase one immediately!.
When I'm out in the field and need to fly, I either empty it out and pack my clothes in it to put on the roof of the jeep as worry-free waterproof luggage.
It's a Pelican case, by the way. Tell them if I don't work and they'll replace it or fix it. Mine hasn't given me any problems.
It's big and heavy, but it's well-made!.
Pelican is a fantastic case manufacturer. However, it is heavy and long-lasting.
