It is easy to remove
3/5

The cons are. The Old Town 158 runs on this engine. There are several pros to this The product holds my child correctly, and it can be removed easily. The cons are I found it to be somewhat underweight for my 230 pounds (it is advertised as holding 300lbs) and the edges are a little uneven (shoddy workmanship), and it falls out easily if flipped (it fell on my car while connected The reason I bought it was primarily to use as a children's seat, but I also intended to use it as a solo seat as well. I can't use this seat as a solo seat due to the lack of leg room and support. A piece of plastic that probably cost no more than $5 could be seen here. Prices should range between $35 and $45. Shipping is included.

This doesn't seem strong enough to hold the weight it is rated to hold
3/5

It is easy to see stress on the plastic seat's support brackets where it meets the seat. As far as I can glean, it does not hold the weight stated on the label.

Does what it says on the tin
3/5

Despite being flimsy and expensive for what it is, it does the job.

Can be used for other canoes, but keeping an eye on the width is important
4/5

Carlisle Old Town canoes do not have the width of 36 inches where the seat suggests 37 inches, and I have a Smokercraft Aluminum Canoe that is a little wider than that. 38" in length. Although my seat was a tight fit, I managed to slide it forwards after I popped it into place. It does show some stress at the joints, so I would say it might not hold up under this off-condition Label usage seems to be fine, but it is still early. The pillow is very comfortable, and it is easy to install.
