Thank you very much for your inquiry. The motor mounts are made in the United States, not China. They're made in the United States of America, specifically in Tennessee.
Our goal is to ship within 24 hours of receiving your order. Both motor bracket styles are durable and suitable for both electric and small gas trolling motors. The aluminum mounts are made of nearly indestructible 6061 aluminum and are 3" wide, which helps to reduce motor vibration to some extent. The aluminum clamps work well on inside facing vinyl and flat gunwales of at least 1/2" width, while the ash (wooden) motor mounts are lighter and the solid bar clamp style fits nearly all gunwales. I hope this information is helpful, and please let me know if you have any additional questions.
Thank you very much for your inquiry. On most Coleman canoes, the aluminum clamps do not work well. Instead of two aluminum clamps, most Coleman canoes will require one solid bottom clamp. If you're looking for a Coleman Ram, look no further. A solid elongated bottom clamp is required for the X series with end caps. If you let me know when you check out, I'll send you the correct clamp instead of the aluminum clamps.

It's well-made, but it doesn't fit my brand of canoe the way it's supposed to. When tightened, the angle bracket flops around, and it could easily be made more universal. I attempted to contact the seller by e-mail but received no response. There was no response to my email. I went ahead and fabricated a hardwood back piece to slide in under gunwales because I was so impressed with the rest of the mount. I got rid of l-. large washers and wing-nuts were used in place of the bracket. bolts and nuts that are already in place Holds firmly and does not budge throughout the day. It works perfectly and can be turned on and off in a single action. It's a great motor mount, but make sure it fits and functions with your canoe. If not, you can make it work very well with a little ingenuity. Due to the seller's lack of response to my e-mail, I gave it three stars. mail. This is a fantastic product that I would recommend and purchase again.
With a 30 thrust Minn Kota trolling motor, it worked pretty well in my 13 foot plastic fishing canoe. The only problem I had was that the mount would occasionally slip forward. Because of the motor's forward thrust, there is a side clamp. It took a lot of re-sliding and re-sliding to get it right. the tightening You could use a screw or a small C-clamp to secure it. clamp. I wish the wing nuts were a little bigger because they get sucked into the clamps' corner grooves. Between the nut and the clamp, a heavy washer can be used. Otherwise, a fantastic product at a fraction of the price of Old Town and other similar establishments.
made. This was a gift for my 26-year-old son. Minn Kota trolling motor with a thrust rating of lb. The mount is small enough to fit behind the back seat of my 17-year-old car. a Grumman canoe with a length of 8 feet I was working with a computer that I had at home. made a mount out of 2x4s, but the flex in my DIY mount was causing me concern. The wing nuts for the mounting bolts do not appear to fit tightly enough into the V brackets, as others have mentioned. That should be fixed with a few washers from the hardware store. In the meantime, I'm using the bolt backwards. br>Unlike others, I didn't need to drill any additional holes to make the mount fit. For my purposes, the outside holes were ideal. One foot separates the holes.
I only needed to drill four additional holes to match up to the gear tracks on my BooneDox Landing Gear to mount it. Yak Gear track nuts make it simple to install and remove, and it's very stiff and won't flex even when using a 34 thrust motor.
The seller stated that I could return it for a different mount, but I received no response after multiple attempts to contact him. In the end, it was a waste of time and money. It was a huge let down.
I went out and bought a regular V-neck sweater. clamps, which I discovered after using them on my canoe's aluminum gunnels ( When you raise the trolling motor a few times to remove weeds, they come loose (1/2 inch depth underneath). Robert (the seller) alerts users to this possibility and includes an email address with the package. I emailed him, and he promptly sent me a new clamp (one board to sandwich the gunnels). I'm excited to try it out, but Robert's response has piqued my interest enough to prompt me to write a review (which I've never done before) - I strongly suggest that you purchase something from him. br>br>It's time for a follow-up. Robert delivered a high-quality product. The mount's underside will be held in place with a wood clamp. I gave it a shot today, and it was fantastic. Despite multiple motor lifts and even a run aground in shallow water, the boat stayed tight. As a backup, I used the original wing nuts. up, but it was only for the sake of insurance. I'm in a good mood right now. br>Thank you for your kind words, Robert!.
" This should fit perfectly if your canoe's end comes to a point and has a lip. My Easy Rider Royalex canoe is very securely fastened. It holds my trolling motor like a champ, even if the edges are a little sharp for how heavy and metal it is.
