Questions & Answers

Do you think you'll be able to carve something into it?

Yes, you can cruise and carve on this Playshion longboard. Because it has 70mm soft pu wheels, 7" aluminum trucks, and a rubber riser pad. There was no problem with wheel bite. Just take it easy and enjoy the longboarding!

Is there a limit to how much you can weigh?

250 lbs

What is the level of difficulty on this board for a novice? A young lady who has never skated before but wishes to learn?

My 13-year-old daughter, who owns the board, provided the following response. It's an excellent board for learning how to ride a skateboard on. It feels effortless to ride a skateboard when you're on it. It's also great for shifting from one side to the other. The only real disadvantage is that once you get going, stopping can be difficult due to the board's weight. br>If you're just learning to skateboard, this is a good board to start with, but if you want to learn how to do tricks with a board, I wouldn't recommend starting with one like this.

Do you have any issues with the griptape?

It's professional griptape OS 780 that keeps your feet firmly attached to the board.

It's great, but it's a little too quick
5/5

I adore this board; it was ideal for me as a beginner, and I had a great time riding it. The trucks are simple to adjust and the ride is fairly quick. Perhaps too fast for me because I had it for only a few weeks when I crashed down a hill, flew off the board, and broke my arm. I now have a titanium plate in my wrist, but I still love the board and recommend that you get some wrist guards.

If you're a beginner, don't waste your time looking on other boards
5/5

Choose this one and you will not be disappointed! If you're a beginner, don't waste your time looking on other boards. Choose this one and you will not be disappointed! br>br>I'll start by saying that I was never particularly good at skateboarding as a kid, but I started snowboarding around the age of 12 and quickly developed a passion for it, eventually becoming moderately proficient in the sport, though this was my first attempt at longboarding. Living in Chicago, I hoped to be able to get around more quickly in the spring, summer, and fall. It took me about 30 minutes to get used to the board and another 30 minutes to figure out where I liked to put my feet, how to push properly while riding, and how to make turns. The company is also fantastic, as the shipping is incredibly quick, and I had the option of working with one of their employees, Mike, on replacing a part of my board that I broke, and they provided superior customer service!br>br>Thanks guys!.

Beginners will love it
5/5

I'm a 28-year-old woman who has never skated before but has always wanted to. My boyfriend skateboards on occasion, and I wanted to be able to tag along on a board rather than riding my bike every time. Enter this lovely little long board, which was ideal for learning on. The bearings are smooth but not too fast, the board has just a hint of flex, and the trucks have plenty of wiggle room to turn this stretched-out bad boy around corners. I would highly recommend this board to a beginner; I'm not sure how a seasoned skateboarder would feel about it; however, my boyfriend recommends changing the bearings for faster and longer coasts once I'm comfortable enough.

What you pay for is exactly what you get
4/5

First impressions: "It's fantastic. "br>Second review: This is my first long board, and it arrived in excellent condition and ready to ride. "br> I need to revise my review now that I've had the board for a while. I've only ridden for a mile or so, but the bearings appear to have worn out or something because the board now glides very poorly. In comparison to these supposedly ABEC 7 bearings, my son's ABEC 3 bearings on a Target store board spin like crazy. When I spin a wheel by hand, it comes to a complete stop right away. The board will not roll down my sloped driveway if I place it there. not good. br>I'm hoping the seller/maker will get in touch with me as soon as possible to resolve this. br>Final thoughts: So, I got the new bearings and swapped them in. Regrettably, the new bearings do not appear to roll any better than the previous ones. The board is comfortable to ride, but not as fast as I had hoped. This board provides excellent value for the money. The customer service was excellent. What you pay for is exactly what you get.

Surprisingly good value for the money
5/5

For my 12-year-old daughter, I purchased this board. First and foremost, let me state that I spent three days researching these message boards on the internet. I wanted to get her a board that was durable, fun, and would last her a long time; I didn't want to spend $150 on her because I didn't know if she would stick with it, and she is just getting started. We just got the board today, and I'm really happy with it so far. I ordered the board and it arrived two days later. It's a well-made board. The trucks appear to be sturdy and strong; I believe they are made of plastic, but if so, they are of very high quality; they feel like metal to the touch, but tapping them with a metal tool leads me to believe they are made of plastic. The grip tape is of good quality and adheres well to the surface. Because the board flexes, I'll say that the maximum weight limit of 250 pounds is correct. My daughter is around 140 pounds and hers doesn't flex at all, but I'm 240 pounds and I'm not taking any chances. The wheels appear to be supple and have excellent traction. The bearings themselves are in good condition. I did order some yellow jacket bearings to replace the factory bearings, and I have to say that the factory bearings are better than I expected. You may want to hold off on purchasing "better" ones because they are great for beginners. Even if the set was $100, this would be a good buy. So if you're looking for a beginner board or even a replacement board and don't want to spend a lot of money, this is a good option. It also comes with a tool, which was a pleasant surprise. In general. I'm happy I went with this option.

Beginners with a desire to learn quickly will benefit from this board
5/5

For the price, this is an excellent board; I'm a beginner, and this board was both forgiving and capable. It turns extremely well, and the trucks are just stiff enough for me (I weigh 175 pounds). I'm already learning how to move my feet around to carve better turns and gain more speed while pushing because it's so stable. br>br>By the way, the bearings are incredibly smooth, almost to the point of being too smooth for a complete beginner. When I first tried it, the board blew out from under me. But once I got used to it, I realized how simple it was to keep the wheels turning. Based on the trucks' tuning in relation to the board's flexibility and bearings' smoothness, I could even carve small turns to gain speed. br>br>Also, it is, in fact, 6. 6 lbs, very light and handy.

Love it
5/5

Love it. I'm a 25-year-old woman who is a beginner, and I found it to be very easy to pick up. It's a pleasant ride, and I'm confident that I'll be fine if there are any cracks. The board has a substantial feel. Do your homework on what you're looking for in a board, as different boards are designed for different purposes. This was ideal for me because I didn't want to do any tricks. To use this, you must be in a well-lit area.

I'm very pleased
5/5

I was hesitant because of the price, but I am very pleased with this board; it is smooth to ride and strong enough to support my weight of 300 pounds. For such a low price, the bearings are dependable and faster than expected.
