(Do you remember who gave you your first set of stitches at the doctor's office? ) The last skateboard I bought was in the 1980s, and it was one that I used on the street as well as on the old, rotting plywood half pipes and quarter pipes in my backyard back then. I think the last board I had cost me over $300 after I upgraded the bearings, trucks, wheels, and other components. I started riding my 30-year-old skateboard while walking my dog recently, and she loved being able to run around with me instead of having to walk at my pace. I decided to get a longboard, but I had never ridden one before, so I was looking for a low-cost option. I must admit that I was taken aback when I first opened the box. The natural finish with the grit built in, the beautiful finish of the natural wood and bamboo, and the overall cut of the board made it seem as much like a work of art as a skateboard. This board may not meet the needs of an experienced, hardcore longboarder, but I took it out for 6 miles of flat and hills with my dog tonight to break it in and give it a few scuff marks. I'm not sure what brand or quality the trucks and wheels were, but I found the ride smooth and the handling to be more than adequate for my needs after adjusting them to suit my riding taste. In my lifetime, I've owned a lot of skateboards, and you should always have a couple in your car just in case you come across a great spot to skate. This is one I notice spending a lot of time in the back seat of my car when it isn't being used by human passengers. This is a great starter or mid-range longboard in my opinion, and the price makes it a fantastic deal. I've seen more expensive boards that didn't look or ride nearly as well, so I took a chance and ordered this one online based primarily on price and appearance. If you're an old school skater looking to branch out into longboarding, this board is a great place to start. I'd also like to mention that the seller delivered this to me very quickly and in excellent condition, and I would recommend him to anyone. Skate or die, that's all there is to it! (At heart, I'm still an 8-bit guy!!) ) I hope my feedback is useful!.
Similarly to Mark's review, I am an experienced skater who has never owned a longboard, which I purchased for both walking my dog and teaching my children to skate. I've been skating for more than 30 years and have owned quite a few skateboards. At this price point, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality. The quality is superior to a number of complete boards I've purchased for $100. br>br>It arrived fully assembled and ready to ride, with a substantial but not overly heavy feel to it. At this price point, the trucks and wheels are of excellent quality. The trucks were a little too loose out of the box for my tastes, but with a little tightening, they were fine. The bearings aren't the best I've ever ridden, but they're far from the worst, and the wheels are a lot nicer than the ones on my old 80s boards! I was also surprised by how well the gritted wood top worked in comparison to regular grip tape. br>br>Overall, this is a fantastic board, and I'm glad I bought it!.
She rode with the confidence of a long-distance runner the next day. It appeared that I was a longboarder for the first time! Beginners and experts alike will find this board to be safe and sturdy. Magneto boards, thank you so much!.
When it comes to longboarding, I consider myself an intermediate skater because I've been on a lot of boards but have never owned one. For context, I'm a 24-year-old male who stands 6 feet tall and weighs 215 pounds, wearing size 11 shoes, and has ridden this board for 10 miles.
- Shipping: 6 days. Which is quick because it's California - > PA (from coast to coast)br>- Presented in: Certain aspects of the packaging could have been improved. My board, on the other hand, arrived in perfect condition. I'm impressed, especially given the distance traveled to reach my residence. br>br>Let's take a look at the Board now. br>- Deck: Wow. Wow, wow, wow, wow, WOW, WOW, WOW, WOW, The surface's grip is comparable to, if not better than, most grip tapes and surfaces I've used. It's tough, steady, and powerful. Exceptionally supportive, with a slight concave for added comfort. br>br>- Trucks: appear to be sufficiently strong There's nothing spectacular here, but it's also not going to let you down. The bushings inside make turning a breeze.
- Wheels: are absolutely fantastic These wheels are ideal for cruising because they are larger and softer. Perfect for cracks in the concrete, seams in the sidewalk, or pebbles, rocks, small sticks, and branches in your path (though avoid branches if possible). As I coasted along, I didn't feel any wheel bite.
- Bearings: To be honest, it's quite good for the price. Keep these in mind if you're just starting out. You'll be fine if you just loosen the wheels a quarter turn. Feel free to upgrade if you have more experience and want to get the most distance out of each push. I haven't yet, and I'm still having a good time, but I'm considering it. Overall impressions: br>br>
- turning: It's a breeze to do, and it's a breeze to do it Simply anticipate wider turns, or fiddle with your trucks and bushings (or replace them). Straight out of the box, this board will struggle to make super tight turns.
- Comfort is a given. If you're new to the game, you should expect some discomfort after a few minutes of boarding because you're not used to it. It does not imply that you are performing incorrectly!
- Carving: This board is a decent, dare I say, great carver, similar to turning but used differently. In addition, he is a great supporter of yours.
- coasting: You can expect to get about 10 seconds of riding time on a flat, smooth surface like a parking lot or street before you need to push again. That is quite impressive. If you're on even a slight incline, you can potentially double that output, which is very nice. br>br>Overall, I highly recommend this board at this time. If I need to, I'll come back with an update and a new rating.
