Thank you for getting in touch with us, Ray. Any standard longboard wheel can be used in place of the wheels. br>It rides well on short grass/packed dirt, but not so well in tall grass or really soft dirt, which is better suited to our Mountainboards.

This was my first longboard (I also have a skateboard). I'm 5 feet tall and weigh 105 pounds. It was a little awkward at first riding this around the neighborhood with two little boys on scooters following me. What kind of mother behaves in this manner? Plus, it's almost the same size as me. But, man, this sure beats lugging a double stroller around the neighborhood. br>br>I must say, I am extremely pleased with my purchase. I'm a huge fan of how smooth the ride is on this. I've tried other longboards, but due to the large all-terrain wheels, this one is the most comfortable. incredibly buttery smooth. I was a little nervous riding this for the first time on a bumpy terrain with a lot of cracks, but it was still as smooth as a baby's bottom. Did I mention how easy it was to do this? That is something I cannot emphasize strongly enough. I've ridden over small rocks without incident (is that a word? mombrain). "Oh shoots (no profanity for moms), a rock!" I exclaimed. " Then this happened, and it was like. . . SMOOTHbr>br>Despite the fact that it is advertised as "all-in-one," it is not. It doesn't roll well on grass," says the terrain. It's ideal for cruising down the street or on the pavement. Before you ride for the first time, loosen up the trucks. They're usually tight out of the box, making it difficult to turn them.
I've only been riding for about a year and a half, and I'm a big guy (230 lbs) who primarily boards on neighborhood streets. I've been on a motorcycle for quite some time now.
br>br>This is my first longboard, and I've only been riding for six days. This is something I really enjoy. It allowed me to park further away from work for less money while still arriving on time. Advantages: br>br> 1) This longboard makes maneuvering and getting up to speed a breeze. br>2) The wheels are enormous and can literally roll over any obstacle. br>3) The board's "raised ends" assist me in foot positioning and repositioning. Positioning on the bike br>4) The lower deck allows for much easier maneuverability. br>5) This board makes carving a breeze. br>6) I can easily climb small hills with this board. br>br>Consbr>1) A small section of the deck's grip tape has peeled up slightly. Right now, it's not an issue. All I have to do now is figure out how to replace the grip tape. br>br> Take a look at the photos.
first runs/out of the box/checkover As with any new board, I removed hangers and applied a thin bead of white lithium grease to the truck bushing flats and pivot bearing cups (this is why your board squeaks when you turn). This isn't the case, and it shouldn't be! then applying blue loctite to the hanger fixing bolts and tightening them up for my style (higher speed smooth d/h freeride carving). I don't like them because they're too soft. The hardness is 83A. I'm only 140 pounds, so it's not like I'm a huge guy. I found the board trying to become unnervingly unstable at higher speeds with the hangers pretty tight, so I'll be upgrading bushings to Venom 94a/91a hardness d/h shr cylinders to smooth that out (so I don't have to tighten them as much). Before your first ride, make sure to double-check and tighten all eight baseplate screws/nuts!! I had three of them. Out of the box, there are 4 turns that are too loose. I don't think it's close enough! Also, there are no dampers underneath; I'm waiting for a pair of thin 1/8" rubbers. Minor wheel nut adjustments, the bearings are actually quite good and roll this heavy setup smoothly and long, so no bearing work will be required for a while, yay! Then there's the plank: The grip tape, layup work, fit and finish are all excellent, and the graphics are tastefully understated. however- It's incredibly thick, bomber-heavy, and *extremely stiff*! This isn't the board for you if you're looking for a flexy longboard. When I stomp on it, it barely flexes! As a result, it does not flex much when turned. It appears that the trucks and wheels are more responsible for turning. However, I did wish for a *tiny* bit more flex when carving. Having said that, she's an interesting and fun animal to ride--stable and confident, she likes to go fast! All that weight and mass translates to bomber smooth gs lines around 25 mph. I was giggling uncontrollably at the time! On these first runs, I should mention that I live in a mountain campground that has a little bit of everything. Smooth asphalt one-lane access roads with small abrupt speedbumps and dips, lots of Fall debris (leaves and pine needles) this time of year, rocks, and some mild downhill multi-use trails on the lower end. There's also a cambered dirt double track, and it's all downhill. I swarmed them all at breakneck speed! I'm still figuring out the wheels and truck quirks, but I'm finding that the big 100mm treaded wheels carve and hold *almost* as well as smooth dh street wheels on asphalt. If pushed too far, I believe they will slide out, but I am not a slider. Well. actually. I blasted down from the asphalt to the dirt double track, where I found myself in a 30 foot controlled dirt toeside drift slide. Offroad, the wheels *do* work. A big grin again! br>I've compiled a list of non-profit organizations. Pretty shots to demonstrate some practical sizes and the first days of dirt, heh. br>And that, my friends, is all there is to it! I'm going to learn more about it tomorrow. and, more than likely, wishing I hadn't misplaced my elbow pads! Oh, and to that adorable mom who wrote that adorable review up there, thank you. hi! Bud is my given name. Interested in a ride? br>br>EDIT/UPDATE: We've been going for 3 months. This is now my go-to board. (until I go electric, heh. ) to winter board! Atom BX- Build your own ish dual motors! ) Handles the mucky, sandy, winter-debris-strewn campground roads better than any other board in the quiver at the moment. Changes: I flipped the hangers for a much better turning radius and carving feel, as well as a lower center of gravity. After experimenting with various duros, I settled on Venom 91d barrels and cones all over. The best upgrade is- Muirskate has a zealous bearing (greens). These are the most incredible bearings I've ever seen.
br>I just got it (same-day delivery). The first thing you'll notice is that it's quite heavy and big (as you'd expect for a long board), and I may do an update later after I take it for a ride. br>The second thing you'll notice is that it's quite heavy and big (as you'd expect for a long board). br>I gave it four stars because one of the trucks made a clicking noise and the other was extremely squeaky. I noticed that the washer was clicking against the thread on the first one, and I was able to fix the squeaky one by removing and reinstalling the bushings. The same thing happened with one of the wheels; it was too tight and wasn't spinning as well as the others. Having said that, it was not ready to ride in my experience.
