Questions & Answers

Is there a limit to how much weight it can take?

The board has a lot of weight capacity. The person for whom it was purchased weighs around 260 pounds, and his friend, who weighs over 300 pounds, also owns one. I'm not sure what the maximum weight limit is.

How wide is this board's concave?

I'm not sure, but the deck has a slight curve to it, and it's a nice board for the money.

Is this a drop-down menu board? When it dips lower towards the ground in the middle, that's where it's called a dip! ?

A drop deck is exactly what it sounds like. A drop through occurs when the trucks rise through the board, allowing for a closer connection to the ground and increased stability. If all you want to do is cruise, this board is ideal. If you want to trick or dance, this isn't the board for you.

Is purchasing a longboard worthwhile if I already own a penny board?

The bamboo long board is a sweet smooth ride that has held up well over the last two years. People have attempted to purchase it from us, but my 15-year-old refuses.

Beginners are welcome on this great board that will last a long time
5/5

I'd had this product for just over a year when I decided to write a review. This was my first long-distance trip, and I'm glad I went.
Pros: br>With this type of board, there is no risk of wheel bite, and the length gives me a good sense of balance and sturdiness. The board is a little stiff, but that's a good thing for beginners who have a lot of control over their surroundings. The biggest thing I noticed when I first started riding it was that it holds its speed extremely well compared to some of the cheaper longboards I've ridden, which is a really nice perk when going uphill. As with most longboards, the wheels are large enough to handle cracks if you're going fast enough. I did loosen the trucks a little after I got more comfortable so I could carve more easily (they were a little tight to begin with), but it's pretty good right out of the box.
Cons: br>These wheels definitely feel the ground, which is a disadvantage for those who prefer a smooth ride, but I personally enjoy feeling the bumps and gravel; it's just something you have to get used to. As I previously stated, trucks can be tight, but this is a simple fix with a skate tool, which you should have on hand just in case. The board does not flex excessively (again, this is a personal preference). br>br>When it comes to buying a longboard, the price can say a lot about the quality, especially for beginners who are new to skateboarding in general. Atom boards are a good place to start if you want to make this a serious hobby that won't break the bank and won't break a week after you get it out of the box.

A Ride on the Magic Carpet
5/5

In almost every way, the Atom Drop Through Longboard is near-perfect. My board, which I affectionately refer to as Felicia, arrived in about a week in a cardboard box that was slightly too small - Almost no padding was present in the packages. But as soon as I cracked open the dented box, all doubt vanished. This is a lovely board. br>br> The quality of the work is simply outstanding. this- world. I jumped on it right away and began riding. The ride was buttery smooth, and I felt like I was flying through the air with little resistance. The large deck is curved, flexible, and extremely strong. It should be able to support someone weighing around 210 pounds (I'm 195 pounds). The deck tape has a grippy, coarse texture to it. The wheels and bearings work well together - The board just keeps rolling without seeming to exert much effort, and the trucks are attractive, responsive, and well-made. br>br>Turning radius is a little too large - To make a reasonable 180-degree turn, the board requires a little lean - You'll be fine once you've gotten the hang of it. There isn't even a smidgeon of a wheelbite. Because the board is a drop through, it has a lower height than a top mounted board, which is great for kicking. br>br>I got caught in a torrential downpour on the boardwalk about three miles from my car - The board could've been a rowboat if it wasn't for the fact that it was shaped like one. It returned me to my car in a timely and efficient manner. I was relieved to discover that the deck did not warp after it was allowed to dry. br>br>Some of the truck's components are painted black, and flying stones chip the paint, causing small rust spots. Despite their loctite nuts, the truck mounting screws on the board will loosen over time, causing annoying rattling and sloppy handling - When boarding, remember to bring a tool with you to tighten things up after a long day of cruising. br>br>I am in love with this longboard; I've had it for three months and ride it almost every day. Riding it is simple and enjoyable, and it gives you a lot of confidence. invigorating I wear it all the time and get a lot of compliments on it. It comes highly recommended from me!.

Great cheap beginner board
5/5

I used to skate a lot as a kid, but never on longboards. I wanted to get back into it, but I'm no longer interested in performing tricks. I picked this up in an attempt to improve my morning commute to the train station. br>It's excellent value for money, and I wouldn't have objected if it had been more expensive; I have no complaints. The most common complaint I saw in the reviews was about the bearings. When you buy this board, you must loosen the wheels because the truck nuts are cranked so tight that you can barely roll. When you loosen them up and break them in, this thing cruises like a dream. br>br>If you loosen it up a little, you won't need new bearings.

I've had this board for a while and prefer it to my Loaded Dervish (Flex 2) in terms of performance
5/5

Ok, I've been using this board for a while now and I prefer it to my Loaded Dervish (Flex 2) in terms of performance. In comparison to this, I'm 165 pounds and 6' tall, and the Dervish appears a little shaky. This board is extremely durable, easy to maneuver, and ideal for downhill riding. It has a broad stance and can easily navigate around bumps and small rocks. I've gotten it stuck on a rock or two and had to eject it, but it was at low speeds and I wasn't paying attention. I went for a 26-mile ride on this board one day and had a blast. It's low enough to make pushing comfortable for your body, but not so low that it scrapes on speed bumps and other obstacles. This board is fantastic, and I'm glad I bought it.
