This board is a downhill board for me, man. There are no downhill wheels on this board though, so if you want to do real downhill (sliding), then you're going to have to buy new ones. While this board is great for cruising, with its lower riding position and smooth feel in turns, it is great for wake-boarding as well.
The reason for why I prefer a drop deck over a top deck is because the top deck is lower to the ground, giving you more control, more sturdiness, and a smoother ride.

There are some parallels with Atom's production of longboards that are excellent for beginners but good for intermediates and above. In regards to the first point, it's true, but not so much in regard to the second. It will be equally enjoyable for a newbie or an experienced skater looking for a more casual ride to ride on an Atom. A drop deck like the Atom has enough stability to inspire confidence in novices, but it is also responsive and fast enough for a skilled skater to use for pushing, carving, and occasionally a little downhill action when not pushing for 40 mph. The main criticism of Atom drop decks is the stock trucks, wheels, and bushings have average performance, and those criticisms are valid. In relation to skaters who are either just starting out in the sport or just want to have a good time, the quality of these components won't matter. Vehicle the size of a pickup. This longboard cost me less than $100 after shipping about 3 months ago, so I paid $85 for it. It was delightfully surprising to get so much for that price, as it was not what I expected. I am very pleased with the quality of this board. Despite its size, the deck is sturdy and has good flex, while the trucks provide good cruising ability. However, I wouldn't use the trucks or wheels downhill, but I like to ride to work on it. I am happy to share with you my story to date. My atom longboard was run over by a pickup truck today and I learned something new about it. As I was swinging to kick, I hit a grove in the asphalt that was not visible as I was heading to work, and as a result, I shot my board forward, right under a pickup that was crossing the road between my house and my place of work. Just behind the nose of the truck, where it mounts on the trailer, the pickup crossed the board. It goes without saying that I believed my board was There was no such thing as that. 5- I have updated 16 April 2016. After replacing the trucks with caliber 44s and upgrading to abec 11 bearings, I installed a caliber 44 system. As I pulled one of the spacers between the trucks and the board, I noticed a slight gap between the two. It can bite the ground at full turn since the board is so low when you The board has now become insanely fast. It's almost unreal how fast it works now. The board you see here is not just a starter board it is a professional board. As you can see, it has custom wheels and I have had it for three My board has a tear on the back but that's from all the bails that I have had to take. I was doing over 20 bails when I bailed and my board has hit concert a minimum of five times just to get me out. When the front of the trailer cracks, it will eventually hit the trucks. Do NOT flip out if that happens. Also, I would suggest checking out a set of titanium trucks. If you get them new, don't get scammed by Ware, as they charge 80+ for titanium trucks. If you get them, always check to make sure that they are a set rather than just one truck. The bottom of my trucks do have washers, however, since I hate having to tighten my trucks and see them go poor on the sides of the trucks, and I would recommend tiers if you want to get more speed on your trucks. My wheels are Bigfoot 83A's (really hard wheels) and they are 76mm wide. It will take a lot of time before you can use them again after you've broken them in. My favorite part of the board is the logo that is situated right in the center. I have actually decided on a side of the skateboard I like the most. The picture above is the front of my board. The back is relatively unscathed, though my board has some small damage during shipping. The logo in the middle of the board will peal once the grip tape is removed. It is recommended that you simply cut it off when the time comes.
