Thank goodness our little guy had them on for his first bicycle ride; he managed to fall off in a matter of minutes, and they protected him completely. His skates, skateboard, scooter, and stilts are all in the same boat. I told his Aunt I wasn't sure he wasn't falling on purpose because he laughed each time, but they kept him safe for two weeks whether it was on purpose or not. If scarves had been readily available when I was a kid, I would have been spared several scars, and knowing that the little guy was adequately protected relieved the adults' fear and anxiety. A big thumbs up!.
These are a big hit with my child. We bought him a new bike, and he received some scars on his arms and legs while learning to ride; however, the gear set protected his knees and elbows well when he fell off the bike, and he now feels more confident with it. They're simple to adjust in length and stay put on his body even when he's moving around a lot. Put the gear over your clothes to make it more comfortable to wear in a good fit.
