Questions & Answers

Will a 5'0" 100lb adult be able to wear the small size?

Pads typically fit very tightly, and inexperienced riders frequently complain that they are too tight, according to the 187 website's size chart. They're designed to be extremely tight so that they stay in place during movement or falls, and they're often uncomfortable the first few times you wear them. As you continue to wear them on the same body parts each time, they will begin to take on the shape of your body. For example, do not wear the left elbow pad upside down or on the right elbow one day and correctly the next. There is a correct and incorrect way to wear them if you pay attention, and the elbow is probably the most commonly misplaced of all the pads. Also, when worn over long pants, they will fit differently than when worn with shorts, or when short sleeve vs long sleeve. Expect them to be difficult to put on and take off at first, as well as a little uncomfortable, and you'll be fine. My guess is that med/sm will fit your size, but if you're not sure, check the site for possible fit suggestions first. I'm about 165 pounds and 5'10" tall, and I wear a med and love these pads. I'm glad you're getting pads, and not one of those "too cool for pads" or "too cool for helmets" types. If you don't care about what other people think and avoid peer pressure, you'll have a much longer skating career. I knew someone who had a lot of experience and had a bad day that ended his life because he forgot to bring his helmet and had to borrow one that he couldn't strap. Skateboarding will reward you if you respect and enjoy it.

I need a large elbow and an xl knee, so how do we choose the right size?

Because the pack only comes in one size, you'll need to order them separately.

How do you handle returns?

It was easy for me to return my item. I believe it is only for the next 30 days, but I would double-check your Amazon orders to be sure.

Will these fit a ten-year-old girl with a medium build and a weight of around 95 pounds? Thanks?

Nooo way. They are going to be enormous. My wife will have to return them in exchange for a small medium. As a result, I believe the small medium is a bit large.

Others do not last as long as you do
5/5

It's less relaxing. It is a small size. Let's start with the cons: these run small, so size up. I usually wear a medium, but had to go with a L/XL. The knee pads follow the contour of your knee when you're skating, so they can be uncomfortable when your legs are straight. br>br>To be honest, these are minor annoyances compared to the quality and longevity of these pads. They will outperform any other pad brand on the market. I've fallen so many times that the fabric is barely holding together. Of course, these won't last indefinitely, but if you're anything like me, your knee pads will be the first to go. These pads stay put for the majority of my sessions, but they can move if you fall or slide on them. These pads have a very strong plastic plate that allows you to slide through a bail rather than colliding with a surface straight on. Even on concrete, this is true, especially when combined with 187 Killer derby wrist guards. I've slid a few times now, and the plate is still holding up. These pads also have some pretty thick foam padding in them, which helps to absorb a lot of the shock. Overall, I recommend giving Triple Eight Savers a shot to see if you'll stick around. If you've tried those, these 187 Killer pads should be your next step because they provide excellent protection, durability, and quality at an affordable price, making them ideal for inline skating, skateboarding, BMX, roller derby, and even ice skating.

Elbow pads are suitable
3/5

Knee pads, on the other hand, do not: The L/XL size of 187 Killer Pads knee pads was supposed to fit me, according to the size charts. The elbows are fine, but the knee pads are too tight, and the bottom of each one cuts into my shin (despite the fact that it's a pad). Because of this, I'm unable to stand up completely straight. They fit okay if I don't put my leg/knee through the elastic part (they're still a little tight, but not as bad as when I do). The material of those straps, on the other hand, chafes my skin quickly and harshly unless I'm wearing pants. So, unless I can find some smooth material to wrap around those bands, I'll have to see if the knee pads can be sold. I've had nothing but trouble buying most roller skating products because I've had to do so online, where you can try everything on before you buy it, and it's almost made me give up on trying to recapture something I loved doing as a kid.

The knee pads are way too small around, the elbow pads fit, and the fabric is abrasive
3/5

I ordered L/XL based on their official website's size chart, but the knee pads are way too small around. They cut into my legs so badly that I can't even stand in them, and the padding digs into my legs so deeply that even walking a few steps in them would cause bruising. The plastic knee cap, on the other hand, is enormous. Tights or leggings would be required underneath because the material that comes into contact with the skin is extremely abrasive. The elbow pads are comfortable, but the material is too abrasive to wear without sleeves. I can't imagine anyone wanting these unless they're a very tall, thin-legged person who doesn't want to stand up. I'm wondering if the knee pads were mislabeled by the manufacturer because the sizes are so different. I'm disappointed, and I'll be back as soon as possible.

It isn't flashy, but it is functional
5/5

Because I've been off-ice for a while, I bought these for outdoor/trail skating. My old derby gear no longer fits because I've been skating for a while. They're a good choice for that, or as a starter set for people who are new to roller derby and aren't sure if they want to spend a few hundred dollars on high-end equipment. end gear (or smaller skaters who don't require as much bulk) They may not feel as soft and fluffy as bulkier pads, but they will catch you if you fall. These aren't for the faint of heart - they're rather small. In most other pads I've tried, the L/XL feels like a M – The size chart, on the other hand, was spot on. They're designed for proper skating and skateboarding stance, which includes bent knees, according to the reviewer who said they were uncomfortable when standing up. These will be uncomfortable if you do not bend your knees when trying them on. That isn't the fault of the equipment.

Five out of five stars
5/5

For someone who is 5"11 and weighs 175 pounds, the L/XL size fits perfectly.

Skateboarding kids will love these pads
5/5

My children who skateboard and ride scooters prefer this brand. You can rely on their toughness and defense. The vendor shipped quickly, and the product was in excellent condition when it arrived. My 9-year-old wears a size Adult XS, while my 6-year-old wears a size JR.

Legs and elbows are unable to be straightened
4/5

With these on, it's difficult to straighten your legs or elbows. I have a set of triple eight elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards that are very comfortable, but the elbow pads are too big because I bought the one size fits all. br>br>I am a middle-aged woman in a middle-class family. I'm an elderly woman returning to rollerskating, so I'm concerned about protecting my bones (I've already fallen twice), so while I was getting new elbow pads that actually fit me, I decided to upgrade to the 187 killer pads, which are supposed to be super durable and padded. br>br>I purchased the elbow and knee pads in the S/M size combination. The elbow pads are comfortable, but the knee pads are a little too tight. My knees have a 14-inch circumference at the crook. I'm 5'2", but my arms are thin, so I had to get the S/M. br>br>In comparison to the triple eight pads I received, the 187 killer pads feel a lot more secure. Unlike the triple 8's, they have a sleeve rather than just Velcro. I actually prefer the Velcro closures because they are more comfortable. However, while wearing the 187 killer pads, I am unable to straighten my legs or arms. Because of this, the kneepads are particularly uncomfortable. But, since I'm re-learning to rollerskate, my knees are always a little bent. I'll take them out for a test drive to see if I'm up to the task. Regardless, I'm keeping them because they make me feel very safe.

It appears that the size is incorrect
3/5

After measuring my legs, I placed an order for these pads. I was a half-inch too big for the medium and a half-inch too small for the large. Because I didn't want my knee to be squished while skating, I ordered the larger size. Regrettably, the larger size was far too large. The elastic wasn't particularly loose, but the pads were enormous! I got a lot more than I asked for.
