The inner padding is thick too, so it's extremely comfortable. I was not disappointed. Good solid, thicker plastic for the shields that's very sturdy and thick inside. I find this quality to be terrible. There are a lot of uneven stitches. The letter and the number For the knee pads, the sizes of S and R are different. There is a serious lack of stitching on the elbow pads. Though the gloves are decent, they're not particularly stylish. Although sadly I won't be able to trust this set to cushion any falls for my little one. Keep looking! We encourage you to do so.

As our daughter was learning to ride a bike, we bought her this set. This set has proved to be excellent. It seems like she may have fallen a few times without getting seriously hurt. They have been satisfied with the purchase except for the Velcro edges of the elbow pads that rub on her arms when they're put on too tight.
