In the end, one of the spacers was too small, so I had to jam it all the way through (not recommended). Prior to assembling your roller blade screws, it is recommended that you make sure that they will fit through all of the holes.

Neither of the spacers was perfect

One of them was dented and the other was bent The rod was inserted into my bearing and sheared into place. to work it out for a while now but it seems I'm down a bearing & I'm having a hard time getting it out The only problem I find is that I will need to buy a whole new set just to avoid this.
