I immediately began using Gumballs after they were released. They were great for a while, but after a few months, they were completely worn out. These were a better alternative because they could last a year or longer. I'll admit that I've never tried the newer Gumballs, but there was no reason to with the Bionics.
This stop comes in a set of two. There are two toe stops.

If you ride on your toes too hard, you'll have to come to a halt. If you enjoy skating on the sidewalk. If you do a lot of hillbombing or if you wuss out and ride it out on your stops. If you want to stop fast and hard and be as stable as hell when you stall on the ramps, a curb, or anywhere else people think you shouldn't try to skate, and you don't have a lot of money to waste on toe stops that constantly shave down because you're a heavy toe stop user or are just plain too lazy to update your equipment, BUY THESE. They're absolutely incredible. You might even be able to use them for two summers. It's possible you'll purchase them multiple times. It's possible that you'll fall in love with someone.
I removed the basic toe stops that came with the skates and replaced them with these, which work perfectly. They're already at an angle, which I like. Keep in mind that I'm 5'5" and 280 pounds, so I need something to ensure that I stop, and these stick and stop fairly quickly. br>br>Note: If you install these without removing the flimsy washer that comes with the skates, the toe stops will loosen up again. It took me a few tries to figure out what was causing the problem. Removed the washer, hammered the nut in place, and presto, perma(ish)-permanent-permanent-permanent-permanent-permanent-permanent-permanent Stops at the toes.
These stoppers are long-lasting, comfortable, and simple to install, and they saved my life. br>I was overjoyed when I received my VNLA Skates. I put them on in my unfinished basement at home. br>Skating without the stoppers was a little tricky, but nothing I couldn't handle as a 32-year skating veteran. It was a pair of magical jam skates. br>Last time I went to the rollerskating rink, I got hurt pretty badly. These are incredible. br> On them, I'm able to walk around.
On my Sure-Step, I replaced the toe stops that came with it. Skates with a good grip for the boardwalk. I'm new to outdoor skating, and I've never been particularly adept at stopping. My stock toe stops were not up to snuff. I slid instead of coming to a complete stop. These toe stops are a little thicker than the stock ones, but they do a much better job of gripping the ground. I've only had them for a week, so I can't say for sure how long they'll last, but I'll update once I've had them for longer. So far, everything has gone well.
After a year, I'm finally getting a new set! In that time, I would have gone through at least three sets of another brand. br>br>I was underwhelmed by my 2-piece set. Shipping is free for the first day. They failed to show up for my match. br>br>In this photo, my brand new toe stop is compared to a toe stop that has been in use for a year. I'm a big jammer who relies heavily on toe stops. Even the elderly took part in a parade outside. Other brands of toe stops I've used haven't provided me with the same level of durability.
I'm really happy with how much more stable I feel when I'm doing turn-arounds. around- toe- My skates have been stopping since I replaced the stock stoppers. I've had a lot of fun with these in three different skates now. Sure-Fire Darts, Riedell Darts, Riedell Darts, Riedell Moxi Lollies and Grip Rebels I primarily skate recreational/freestyle on sidewalks and asphalt, and these come to a halt quickly!.
br>I'm new to Derby, and the first thing everyone told me was that I needed new toe stops. They had a point. br>I'm glad I got these because they make skating and stopping a lot easier.
If this is what most people wear on a daily basis, I must've had some tiny toe stoppers! I just replaced the stock carrera toe stops that came with the Avanti plates with these. Because I kept tripping on them the first day, I had to adjust them to be shorter than I was used to. I think these would be great for dancing and have a lot of stability, but I'm not sure they'd be good for outdoor braking. I've only done it a few times, but they're already exhausted.
