Despite its shortcomings, this fork is an excellent upgrade over a stock fork on a cheap bike. It is heavy, has a lot of stiction, and can be locked for climbing. For only $100, this is a wonderful upgrade for a cheap bike. Overall, it was a good value for the price.
The forks on my Schwinn Boundary are a vast improvement over the stock forks. Compared to the OEM forks, they weigh only a little over one pound less. I like the rebound damper, and the lockout works well, but I wish the dampening setting wasn't so sensitive. The price seems reasonable, and they seem to be good!.
For now, I give it a rating of 4 stars. I did not like it because it didn't come with a star, and it should have come with bearings and a Therefore, I have used this fork with my schwinn glenwood 29 inch tow handle. The fact that I did not have to cut the tube of the fork is what I liked. There's a catch, though, as that's not always a good thing. Hindsight suggests that adding as much as 4 inches to the fork tube would be more desirable, so I would have preferred an extra 1/4 inch. However, I understand your point of view. Probably a greater manufacturing cost would be involved with creating that extra 4 inches of tube. The only thing I didn't like was that I had to use old bearings and races to make a makeshift press to reuse them. If they could have provided bearings, I would have been grateful. They are still good, even if they are cheap. My rollers will eventually be upgraded to some better ones. The standard schwinn cable disc brakes don't fit the system. Adapters are also available! The score was 1 A modification could have been made to the bracket if it was 2mm too short, but that would have ruined its Taking the safe route is the best course of action. Do not purchase them. Please click here. The quality of these forks is horrific, though they look good. If I had the choice I would give them zero stars. My first reaction when I received the forks was excitement, but it quickly became apparent that they are an extremely hazardous part to install on a mountain bike. Please review the pictures and the video, which display the fork's flaws and poor quality.
In my head, I thought about getting it serviced, but it probably would have been as expensive It was easy to install the fork, no issues at all. I was a beginner, yet I had no problems with it.
