There were only a few shifts in the numbers. Since I am relatively new to bike repair, let me tell you a little about myself. It seems the cable got rusty or the shifter went out on my daughter's car. There is no clear answer. The shifter, however, failed to function. The product was easy to install after I bought it as a replacement for both. In addition to this, my daughter reported that the numbers in the housing seemed to move after she test drove it. Thus, gear seven is shown as 6 and gear one is a blank space, and gear seven is no longer shown due to it not being included in The thing still works, but it is a little annoying if you have just installed it.

It installed easily and has worked well ever since. The front control matches the old one since I replaced my front derailer switch a couple of years ago, so it adds even more value to my design. This is one of my favorite products, overall, however there doesn't seem to be a tension adjustment on the unit itself, so I need to use my derailer to adjust it. It's a great buy! 3G Bikes Venice Cruiser, which has a long, low slung, pedal-forward design, was missing its shifter so I made one to replace it. Despite its short length, the cable included with the package was adequate. Due to dirt and rust from a coast environment, the previous shifter, cable, and cable guide became frosted over. My cable came with this shifter, so I used the guide from a Shimano mtb shifter cable set to use it. The shifts on my bike are now buttery smooth. I highly recommend this book.

It really tightened it up with this Revoshift! As I click into each gear, my gearbox clicks sharply into each position. This shifter also was synced thoroughly with each gear, so each gear indicator was in harmony with its number. Including the cable at first sounded a bit strange, but since we did not need to disassemble the shifter to connect the old cable, the process was a lot simpler.

My only complaints with this product are that after several rides the grip started to fall off(only the rubber) and that the little window that shows your current gear is hard to see through when riding but that's not a big deal since you should normally be relying on your feel when riding. After my cheap shifter broke, I decided to upgrade it to a revo shift after needing it for repairs on my roadmaster. I am impressed and would recommend it to anyone.

Easy installation makes this shift lever ideal for beginners. My handlebar is narrower than I expected, so there is less room on it, but it still works well. The product is excellent and I would purchase it.

I ended up having it fixed by a bike shop since the cable was too short. In order to fix the cable problem, they had to find a tandem cable (which was dicey). Since the shifter was a "throwaway", I was lucky they had the ability to repair it. This means that the housing shouldn't be able to be opened and closed at the same time.
