It's a good fit and it's a pleasurable ride

During spin class, I wore this shoe. They are awkward to walk in - the sole is nice and stiff and feels good on the bike; however, they are awkward to walk in. Bring a pair of shoes that you can change into if you get tired of your current ones.

Indoors and out, this is a great shoe

At my local bike shop, I recently purchased a pair of Shimano IC1 brakes. I normally wear a size 10 Nike running shoe, and the Shimano IC1 in size 44 was the best fit for me: length allows for room for toes after a long ride, toe box is wide enough for comfort, great breathability, and solid support without being stiff like full carbon soles. I enjoy riding with them outside, as well.
