SH51 standard release or SH56 milti-release Shimano Cleats should be let go of. SH56 are a little easier to clip out, but neither are particularly difficult to work with.

These are a perfect fit for me in a size 39. On a side note, my feet are extremely narrow, not even wide. These shoes came with spacers, but I needed to purchase SPD cleats for my class. My feet felt wobbly when I first used the spacers with the cleat, so I removed them and WOW, what a difference. My ankles are supported and the shoe itself is stable. Another thing I changed was the shoe strings, which I replaced with no-tie shoe strings so they wouldn't get caught and wrap around the bike pedal. When I wear these shoes, I always receive compliments. I spin almost every day with no problems, but I only wear these shoes in class, so I can't comment on how they perform in other situations. They're absolutely fantastic! Remember that the ones in the photo have lock laces, which I prefer so that they don't get caught in the bike pedal; I purchased them separately.
I usually wear a size 8 shoe. I bought these in a size 81/2 and they fit perfectly.
I had to return them at first because I was used to using the traditional and the recommended size is two sizes larger, but with these zapatos, you can order your exact size and they are excellent and fit perfectly on the pedals.
Comfortable, sturdy, definitely thick enough for support, and nice that you can wear them for a while before getting on or off the bike without damaging the floor or your shoe/cleats (ss the cleats are recessed).
I tried on a few other pairs of shoes before deciding on these, and they fit perfectly. If you don't like boas or velcro, these are a great and comfortable alternative. These could be the perfect match for you, especially if your feet are a little wider.
Shoe that is overpriced and of poor quality. The shoe is also not designed for use on a spin bike, and the instructions are not in English. I'm sure I could figure it out based on the pictures, but at $85 for a pair of shoes, I wasn't expecting to have to provide my own tools and figure out how to make them work.
This is my first pair of spin shoes, and I'm really pleased with them so far. They get a lot of positive feedback. I didn't "pop" out of the pedal, and I did the clips myself, so it was relatively simple.
THESE ARE THE ULTIMATE SPIN SHOES!.
