Product Description

COMPATIBILITY: These pedals are only compatible with Shimano SPD and should not be used on flat or platform pedals. (Please note that cleats are not included.) This pair of sandals is ideal for casual riding and spinning classes.
COMFORT: The shoes have a lot more airflow than traditional cycling shoes, which is great for hot or humid weather. Three velcro straps, a moulded EVA footbed, and a breathable strap underlay all work together to provide a more ergonomic fit and superior barefoot comfort.
PROTECTOR FOR YOUR FEET The toe protectors, when combined with the strap underlay, provide the tighter fit required to efficiently transfer power to the pedals.
CLEAT RECESS COVER: The screw-on cleat recess cover protects the cleats while also improving the outdoor walking experience. It reduces the risk of slipping and falling by preventing cleats from clicking on rocks.
LONG-LASTING WARNING: These sandals should not be worn in the water. A one-year warranty is included in the price. Taiwanese design.

Questions & Answers

Why can't platform pedals be used with this? Why can't the cleat cover be used with a flat pedal if it's on the bottom?

I haven't tried them with platform pedals, but I don't see why they wouldn't work.

Is the footbed pebbly or smooth? I have an older pair from Nashbar with a pebbly footbed that I don't care for, and these appear to be nearly identical. ?

The diamond pattern on the footbed is mostly smooth. There are no pebbles on the footbed.

How do I clean them if they aren't waterproof and sweat gets inside?

I believe waterproof refers to the ability to keep water off your feet rather than the ability to get wet. While I wouldn't wear them in the water, they appear to be made to be cleaned by spraying them with a hose. The sole is made of solid material rather than a cloth insert, as in a pair of shoes.

I've heard that spd sandals are heavier than regular sandals (I have an old pair of keens). Could someone please weigh these for me? Please provide information such as size, cleats, and so on. ?

In heaven, an old man
5/5

I'm 69 years old and have been riding bicycles for most of my life, averaging about 100 miles per week. I have a pair of Giro SPD's that I really like, but I wanted to get another pair so I wouldn't wear them out as quickly. I have Gout in one of my big toes, so regular riding shoes, which are usually quite narrow, kill me. These riding sandals are genuine riding shoes with a great platform and no power washout due to shoe sloppiness. My feet feel great, my toes don't throb, and I ride as well as I do in regular riding shoes after a nice 20 to 30 mile ride. I would strongly suggest it.

Sandal for cycling
4/5

I would have given them five stars if I had worn them for a longer period of time. I have wide feet, and there aren't many shoe brands that cater to them. These are comfortable on and off the bike, but I don't go for long walks in my cycling shoes. A good fit was made possible by the use of three straps. The heel strap was soft and secure, and it was placed high enough on the heel to keep it in place. SPD cleats are what I use, and they were simple to put on with a screwdriver. on the cover of the entrance When the sandals were dry, they gripped the rough edges of my dual-sided pedals, but when they were wet, they wouldn't stay on. If walking in wet conditions with sandals, this is something to keep in mind. I've gone through three pairs of Nashbar Ragster sandals and these are just as good. I've never worn Keens or Shimano sandals, so I can't compare them, but I do like these.

It was everything I had hoped for and more - I was pleasantly surprised
5/5

So far, all I can say is that they fit and look good. I haven't had the opportunity to ride with them for more than a few miles. I can wear any size between 10 1/2 and 12 depending on the manufacturer. There don't appear to be any shoe size standards. So buying shoes online can be difficult because you never know if they will fit. This purchase is risk-free thanks to the no-questions-asked return policy. Another reviewer stated that these sandals were comfortable for his wide feet. I can also say that they are very comfortable for my long, narrow feet. You don't want any movement inside your cycling shoes, and the velcro straps give you a lot of flexibility for a perfect fit. The sole is stiff enough to allow power to be transferred directly from your legs to the pedals. The most important advantage is their comfort. I don't expect to do a lot of walking in these sandals, but if I do, they'll be a lot more comfortable than my Keen (non-cycling) sandals. They also have a nice appearance. Although there are no color options, the black appears to be sufficient. I'll get a pair of these sandals as well if I can persuade my wife to try 'clipless. '.

For the money, these are acceptable shoes
3/5

The price of these sandals is reasonable. They do a decent job for the price. These sandals stretch well enough to fit my wide feet. I haven't found a cycling shoe that compares to this one. A few key points. br>br> These sandals will feel strange to you if you're used to cycling shoes that allow you to apply sideways torque to the pedals. They're pliable and won't be able to withstand that kind of pressure. br>br>I rode my bike across Iowa in these shoes, and they performed admirably. It was extremely hot, and my feet began to sweat profusely. When they did, the friction vanished, and my foot moved much more than I had anticipated. I was also taken aback by how long they managed to retain the odor. I expected the airflow to help because they're sandals. When I got home, I had to scrub really hard to get rid of the smell. On the ride, I was also using some foot powder to help with that, and by the end of the days, I had this black tar-like substance. br>br>Away from the bike, the shoes performed admirably; no major issues were encountered. They seemed to be quite at ease.

So far, everything has gone well
5/5

I've been wearing these for a few months and haven't had any problems; I finally wore out my Keen SPD sandals and had to find a replacement because they don't make them for the SPD clips anymore. It was difficult to find closed-toe bicycle sandals. I started out with a pair of Exustars. I sent them back for replacement after the third use when one of the sewn om loops came loose. The second pair was only good for a few weeks. I got a refund after returning them. So far, everything has gone well. Because there isn't much else out there, I'm crossing my fingers (or toes) that these will hold up.

For my indoor smart trainer setup, it works perfectly
4/5

This is the first time I've ever attached my feet to a bike for the purpose of training. I used to ride on regular pedals, but now I use an Olympic-level professional smart trainer and sprint at 400 watts. With the cleats, I feel like my feet are securely attached to the bike, and I haven't had any quality issues in about a month of use. In fact, I am able to give the bike more power than before. The design allows you to easily adjust the size to fit your feet, and I haven't experienced any chafing or other discomfort while wearing them. I can see how they could be used for long rides outside. The instructions are simple, so if you've ever attached cleats before, you'll be fine. I had a variety of shims, washers, and other components, and I had to learn how to use them through trial and error.

They're great for wide feet and a lot more comfortable than my old shoes
5/5

I was wearing shimano shoes, which fit me well, but because my feet are a little wide, they were occasionally uncomfortable. If your toenails aren't kept properly trimmed, they can be quite harsh. I looked for wider shoes and mostly found that they are either very expensive (Lake) or not very wide, so I decided to give these sandals a try and so far I really like them. I use a spin bike and wear socks when I exercise indoors. The sandals are a little stiffer and more difficult to put on than I expected, but they provide excellent power transfer to the pedals and cause no discomfort due to wider feet. Although the shoes themselves are stiff and uncomfortable, I prefer them to the shoes. I would strongly recommend these to anyone who has a wide foot or feels that most bike shoes are far too tight around their foot. I'm not sure what I'd think if I were to use these outside and wanted to get off my bike and go for a walk for a few hours. They're quite stiff, as you'd expect given the need for power transfer.

Great sandal for cycling! These sandals are absolutely gorgeous! I would strongly suggest them to anyone looking for a non-cycling shoe
4/5

Because they don't come with cleats, I gave them a four star instead of a five, but that's not a deal breaker for the price. Extremely relaxing!.
