The non-pro mount is made of glass-filled nylon and measures 38mm from the center of the bar mount to the center of the phone clip. The Pro is made of aluminum and measures 63mm from the center of the bar mount to the center of the phone clip. For more information, go to quadlock.com. There's a lot more to the difference than "one is plastic, the other isn't."
For bikes with aerobars, I wouldn't recommend it. For larger phones, the 45-degree twist makes it extremely difficult. Because I also have aerobars, I'm still looking for a good mount.
I'm the one who doesn't have any. On an MTB, I'm using the pro version, and it's fantastic. Over many jumps and drops, the phone hasn't fallen off, and it has only fallen off once during a crash when the phone case twisted on the ground. It's been a safe and secure environment. br>br>However, I wish getting back on with one hand while riding was a little easier. After removing it to take a photo, it's a pain to put it back on.
It's the mounting bracket that's the problem. Plastic is used for the locking mechanism as well as the blue release handle.

This is the most effective cellphone mounting solution - I'll most likely order one of the other mounts that I can screw into my car's dash. br>br>On the underside of this "Out Front" mount, there are a few small screw holes for mounting a camera or light - This is a fantastic feature that I love. br>br>I ordered a Cygolite Metro Pro 1100 Lum light and was disappointed with the handlebar mount, despite the light being very sturdy and small for the price I paid - Anyway, the screw that holds the female part of the mount to the handlebar clamp has the same screw size and thread pitch as the threaded holes in the underside of the Quad Lock Out Front mount, so I was able to unscrew it from the Cygolyte handlebar mount and screw the mounting plate to the bottom of the Quad Lock mount, decluttering my handlebars and giving a budget head unit/light solution a super professional look akin to the Garmin.
I just got my iPhone X mount and case, and I mounted it right away on my Specialized Roubaix. I finished by centering the phone's charging port on the stem and tightening the mount. br>br>This is of excellent quality and durability. The mount is exquisitely crafted, and the case is superb. I'll admit that the case has the tightest fit on the phone of any iPhone case I've ever used, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. The case only needs to be wiggled onto the phone with a little patience. br>br>I'm looking forward to riding this mount for the first time! Yes, it's pricey, but it's a drop in the bucket compared to the price of a modern smartphone. So do it right the first time, invest in the Quad Lock system, and don't scrimp on quality!.
After looking at a lot of holders, this one seemed to be the best fit for the small amount of free space on my handlebars. Of course, using it necessitated the purchase of a quad lock case for my phone, but I decided to take the plunge. They've worked well together so far. The mount is extremely sturdy, and it allows me to rotate the phone in a variety of directions. In addition, I can see my phone while riding and use it for music and other purposes. This is a fantastic purchase.
I contacted customer service and requested assistance in having that item shipped to me. Not only did they respond to my email quickly, but they also promptly mailed the missing piece. Within three days, I received the piece. 4 days. They sent me a brand new lock lever that was missing one of the pieces. QuadLock has provided me with an excellent product, and I am grateful for that. It is the most effective phone bike mount available. Customer is overjoyed. Without a doubt, this is a must-read.
I've never had a problem with the phone falling off or anything like that. I've ridden on everything from smooth to rough asphalt, pavers/cobblestones, dirt/rock, and it's all solid. br>My only complaint, which is more of a personal preference, is that the phone case they sell does not include a backup battery. It's fine, though, because they sell a quadlock attachment with 3M adhesive tape, which I used to attach it to my mophie case. Even the attachment is incredibly sturdy!.
Purchased for use with my mountain bike. This item does not fit 35mm bars. I had to go back. br>It's still a great product, and I use it on a daily basis on my road bike.
It's simple to turn on and off the phone, and you can adjust it to get everything aligned at nearly any angle. br>br>After taking it out on my mountain bike, the teeth of the top cap piece that connects the mount and phone cracked, causing it to no longer hold my phone, which detracts from the sturdiness. The manufacturer, on the other hand, was quick to respond and sent me a note the same day, informing me that a replacement was on its way. If I run into the same problem again, I'll update, but having a seller who stands behind their product is extremely important to me.
Look o. Alternate lever colors can be found on their website. Excellent materials and construction, simple and straightforward operation, and a minimalistic design. It's a little pricey, but since it's one of the few products in its class that actually does what it says, I'm willing to pay a little more. What I didn't like was that there were no options to order it with a different color lever, despite the fact that they sell additional colors on their website. I don't like the off blue against my bike's teal/black theme, but other than that, I'm pleased with my purchase.
