My Trek Rail 7 is equipped with a Bosch motor. Can this be installed on it?

In short, yes. Although the video instructions on youtube suggest it will be a hassle to install, it can still be done by someone with reasonable mechanical skills. The motor does have to be removed, and it was quite easy to do. Although the motor was removed and the battery was removed, fishing the wire through was somewhat of a challenge. Upon installation, mine worked as well as if it had come from the factory. In the future, I would buy again without a doubt.

the kiox is wired to the motor already, do you have to rewire it if you have a smartphone hub? Since the wiring is the same, would this be a simple plug and play installation?

That would seem to be the case. Having upgraded from the Purion, I now own a When I unplugged the Purion, I turned on the Kiox, and it was working. There was only one setting I had to change in the Kiox settings the tire size. As well as the speed and mileage on the Purion were off, but they couldn't be changed

This was an excellent buy

I was the first to own it, and it was brand new Everything is working as it should. The only thing I noticed was that the round tape on the box seal had been cut, but everything else was there (even the sticker for the lock). The overall experience has been very positive.
