It does not include a washer because one is not required.
1.25 inches on the inside. 0625". 1 inch in diameter on the outside 125"
This is required for connecting a bicycle to a Scwinn or inStep trailer. I had to purchase this because I purchased a used inStep trailer/stroller that was missing this component. It looks great on my Ironhorse Sinister, which is 29 inches tall.
A date code that ends in AB (12) - A flat "figure eight" coupler is required. You can get a coupler (25-$) if you look hard enough. SA074A) can be found on Amazon. Thanks

I bought a used instep Kiddo trailer that didn't come with a coupler. br>br>I looked at the diagram here and spoke with two different people from instep, both of whom recommended the flat coupler based on the trailer's model and date code information. I didn't understand it because the trailer arm is clearly at a 45-degree angle to the bike, not a 90-degree angle. br>br>So I ignored the advice of the people I spoke with, as well as the pictures on this listing that show you how to choose the right coupler, and bought the angled one instead. It was a great success. I'm still baffled as to why the straight one would be a better fit for this trailer. Maybe it's a fluke, or maybe I'm not using it correctly, but I've been on two decent rides with it and it works perfectly. To get the spring into a flat coupler, I would have had to bend it quite a bit. br>br>Aside from that, it's simple to put together, durable, and functional. It fit perfectly on my Trek Xcaliber mountain bike, which is 29 inches long.
The coupler that came with my InStep trailer did not fit on my Trek X-treme, so I had to buy a new one. This coupler fits perfectly on my Caliber 8 mountain bike, and there's even a little room for it, so I'm glad I didn't have to make a custom one!.
When the axle is tightened, the gap shown in the photo (without the use of the lock washer) does not close. To make it work, I'd need a crescent-shaped washer, and even then, I'm not sure it'd be safe.
It came in handy when I was riding my Schwinn double carrier. Everything went smoothly. It's simple to put on and take off, and the carrier is simple to detach and reattach. Because the instructions that came with it were confusing, I decided to look it up on YouTube. It took no more than 5 minutes. I was able to locate the one that came with it, and they are identical. Plus, this one included an angled coupler, which was a huge plus for me because I had no idea what I needed until I got it.
My wife and I usually travel with our four and two-year-old children in a bike trailer, but they've grown so large that they're crammed in. We purchased a new trailer, but it did not include a bike attachment. br>br>This works great if your bike has a quick release, but my wife's ebike has a threaded bolt, so I had to dremel the hole about an eighth of an inch and it fits perfectly. I'm sure this applies to all bikes with rear threaded bolts. This is something I would recommend.
It's a great little part for a bike trailer, and it's simple to put together. I bought a Trek Marvin, which is 29 inches long and fits perfectly. I've gone on numerous bike rides with my kids in the trailer and have had no problems. It saved me from having to buy an expensive trailer because I was able to get a used one that didn't have this part, and it was just as simple as ordering one from Amazon in time for the nice weather. I would purchase this product again.
I had to put a thick washer or two under it to clear the seat stay on another bike because it just barely fit the dropout of a Specialized Crosstrail, but it works fine otherwise. As a result, the anti-abortion argument was invalidated. The provided washer with the tab has a rotation feature (the tab is supposed to hook into a notch on the bike's dropout or something similar to keep the coupler from rotating). To keep the coupler from spinning, I tightened the axle nut. br>br>The pin rattles a little, but that's easily fixed with two rubber washers made from a scrap of inner tube.
Some online bike purchases, at least for me, appear to be a flop. That was not the case this time! For months, I was able to safely pull my son behind my bicycle. There have been no issues, and it performs EXACTLY as it should!.
