Questions & Answers

Is the honey bee included in the 12? Steel hitch with a thickness of 2 mm?

Yes. It does.

For my dog, I'd like to use it. What are the measurements? Is it possible to remove the seat?

It is not possible to remove the seat from the vehicle. My westie, on the other hand, would be fine. Despite the fact that I have yet to put him to the test. The trailer has a weight limit, so it's best if your dog is small.

Is it possible to unsnap or remove the seat?

Why don't you try it both ways? Neither of these things were ever required of me.

Is there a flag included with this trailer?

Yes, there is an orange flag attached to it.

It's something I enjoy doing, but it's also something that frustrates me
3/5

First and foremost, let me state that I adore my Burley and use it on a daily basis. In terms of how it opens up adventure possibilities with the kiddo, I'd go so far as to say it's been almost life changing. However, I'm frustrated by what I believe to be a design flaw that is resulting in questionable durability. After only a month, the bottom of the frame has developed a tear. This would be understandable if I were thrashing it around, but I am very careful with it and treat it with respect. When I expressed my concern to Burley, they claimed that it was due to "normal wear and tear from storage or dragging over high clearance objects like curbs or speedbumps. " I haven't taken it off my bike since I got it, so it's not a storage issue, and I don't ride over any major bumps that would damage the frame; after all, I'm riding around with my kid in the back. It could have been subjected to nothing more than a few minor dings. Burley advised me to use heavy duty protective tape to prevent further tearing, so that's what I'm doing now. Here's a suggestion for Burley: put something heavy duty down there so it doesn't rip in the first few weeks of ownership. Oh well, I'll take advantage of the situation while it lasts.

A Bike Trailer for Two Kids that is Stylish, Ultralight, Comfortable, and Strong
5/5

I've had it for almost two years and have taken it on dozens of rides, both on bike trails and offroad, sometimes in extremely difficult terrain, with no problems. With the exception of a few minor niggles, I consider it to be the best bike trailer I've ever used (and I've tried three). ) Here's where Burley's Honey Bee trailer falls apart. Advantages: br>br>

- There is enough space for two children to sit comfortably and comfortably. br>- On the trail, it looks really cool, and I get a lot of questions and comments about it. br>- Folds flat for storage, and all parts (including the pulling arm and wheels) fit inside the folded trailer. br>- The Honey Bee is extremely comfortable for the children to sit and sleep in for long periods of time. br>- The dark tinted windows are large and provide the kids with a fantastic, clear panoramic viewbr>- I almost never run out of space in the back because of the ample storage. br>- The foot brake is simple to operate and effective (though it cannot be used while moving)br>- Each child's inside pockets are useful for holding toys (though not quite large enough for snack cups). br>- The trailer can also be used as a stroller that can be used off-road as long as the weight is not too heavy (too heavy, and the front wheel folds on you)br>- It's as close to impenetrable as you can get. We had a few big downpours, but the kids stayed dry behind the rain shield. br>- Despite being lightweight, it is extremely durable. It is simple to pick up, though some people may find it difficult to remove the arm for storage. br>- With a single push of a button, tires can be removed and replaced quickly. br>- On top, there's a nice adjustable stroller arm that can also be used to hold an action camera. br>- Nice wheel bumper guides that make it easier on the kids if you hit a post or something. br>br>Cons:

- The seat belt snaps are placed far too close to the bottom of the vehicle. I've cut my finger three times under the nail trying to get the belts on or off a kid. The belts cut me because they are flat and sharp. To get them out of the trailer, I have to lean almost all the way into it. The use of a chest strap would be far more beneficial.
- Getting the hitch rod into the bike receiver is extremely difficult. Because it is not tapered at the bottom, it must be lubricated and inserted with a great deal of fiddling and force each time. I believe it's because of the extra-wide safety strap on this version of the rod, because I have the same hitch mechanism on other Burley trailers and have never had a problem. I filed the rod end down to make it taper more, and it now works fine.
- The top-mounted stroller handle is convenient, but it doesn't hold up well under pressure and slips easily even when locked. If you use the handle to push the trailer into a truck or, even worse, if you push it off road as a stroller with some weight in it (two kids cargo space full), the handle easily slips all the way and isn't very usable.
- There is no storage bag included. And while the one made by Burley looks great hanging on the wall with the trailer inside, it's a little too flimsy for long-term use, so treat it gently. br>br>In my opinion, the trailer's benefits far outweigh its few drawbacks. I'm looking forward to another iteration that addresses the minor flaws in what is otherwise a fantastic bike trailer for two kids.

As a double jogging stroller, this stroller is fantastic! This thing has captured my heart
5/5

My four-year-old could walk or ride her bike while my ten-month-old rode in the stroller, so I purchased a single BOB stroller. The four-year-old was having none of it and was desperate to get on the bike as well. Rather than buying a double BOB (which seemed absurd after spending so much money on a single), I decided to get a double bike trailer-- One stone can kill two birds. br>br>I obsessively researched all of the options before settling on the Burley Honey Bee, and I'm ecstatic with my decision. To be fair, I have yet to pull it behind a bike, but it's a fantastic double jogging stroller. What I like about it is: br>br>
1. I've run with it and pushed it while also holding an umbrella--it's incredibly easy to push and steer even one-handed with two kids inside. It's that simple.
2. It's a nice place for the kids to hang out. It's a tight fit, but they're both happy with it. There's never any whining or complaining, so I've had to extend many a walk because it gives me rare moments of peace and quiet (you know what I'm talking about). They both doze off on a regular basis.
3. It has the ability to withstand the elements. We live in the Pacific Northwest, so this keeps the kids dry while still allowing them to see the scenery. And, as previously stated, it's so easy to push/steer one-handed that I'm able to keep myself dry by holding an umbrella. score!
4. It can be used as a jogging stroller for two people. For this purpose, it's just as steady and maneuverable as my BOB. br>br>Cons (I felt compelled to include this because it's truly amazing):
1. With the front wheel on that long bar, it looks a little strange. br>2. In stroller mode, the safety flag cannot be raised because it will smack you in the face (though it can be easily stowed, so calling this a con is a stretch)br>3. Because the front wheel is made of hard plastic, pushing it along bumpy sidewalks can be a little annoying.
4. I wish there was an option to add two stroller wheels instead of the long bar like some other Burley models, because it's so long that you can't really bring it inside.
5. The first time we opened it, it was difficult; not difficult, but difficult, requiring the combined strength of two of us. br>br>Once again, I can't express how much I adore this device; I use it almost every day, even in the dead of winter. Even if you don't intend to use it as a bike trailer, it's well worth the money.
