I give this bag the top rating regardless of this issue. There is no doubt that this bag provides excellent protection for a bike. I can see marks of rough handling on outside and some dents on the side panels after going through four flights already. Nevertheless, the bike appeared to be intact as it ran back and forth. There are no scratches on any part of the car. As much as I agree that hard cases are stronger and can protect bikes even better, there is one major disadvantage You are weighing. Packaged bikes are currently treated as regular luggage by most airlines, and if they meet certain weight requirements, they are not subject to additional charges. The weight of the item cannot exceed 50 pounds. It is not uncommon for hard cases to weigh more than 40 pounds. Unless you have a bike, you are guaranteed to exceed the speed limit by yourself. Weighing about 20 lbs, the bag is made of canvas. In total, the bag weighs less than 50 lbs with a bike and a pump (phew, I even managed to squeeze a pump into the bag). The criteria are met, and that is the best outcome. Having this bag saved me a lot of extra money I would have had to pay for overweight and large There is a tripod stand that unfolds with it to provide a convenient one-hand way to package a bike. I found the bag to be very practical to use. When the bike is placed above the bed level and out of reach of your bedside, it's especially convenient in small hotel rooms, where there is more space to access the bike from various In addition to working as support beams, the tripod legs function as side beams when everything is packed, which makes the stand very efficient. The bike frame on my bike is relatively small it measures 24. 6 inches wide I think it should fit a fourth wheel as well, so you can have a spare set of wheels with you for your race. It may fit an extra wheel and a pump as well, so you can take a whole spare set with you. Generally speaking, the bag is of very good build quality, though there are a few issues to be aware of As a result, the side plastic panels are larger than they should be, which makes them fit too tightly into the side pockets. To insert them there and zip the pockets, you have to put some effort into it. Corrugated thin plastic is used to make the panels as well. Although the plastic is lighter, hitting and falling during a trip can cause some dents on it. The quality of them is not quite sure how long they will last. While the weight is a reasonable compromise, take care in regard to All in all, I was very satisfied with the bag and I recommend it highly.
My bike had to be shipped across the country, so I needed a case. This product met all my needs for my gravel bike with a 15mm through axle after comparing a few products. The majority of bags do not support multiple or correct through axle sizes while this bag does not only handle 15mm and 20mm, but also the standard quick release style. As the sides are firm, there is an additional layer of protection for the frame with the wheels inside. This bike is so easy to disassemble and reassemble because it has a cool stand that is included. It took me about ten minutes to assemble the bike and about twenty minutes to disassemble it for shipping. A large space allows you to add shoes, a helmet, a pump, and all the equipment needed for saddle, pedals and handlebars all in the bag. My opinion is that this bag is great.
My bike case will enable me to take it to races across the country and on vacation to Hawaii. In the first use of the bike case, a piece of the plastic holding it in place broke off. Now the bike cannot be seated tightly in Fortunately, the other side still clips in, so I can get around this by packing bubble wrap and other items like my shoes, helmet, and bike pump in the rest of the bag. There are handles conveniently located on both sides on the outside. The outside is durable and relatively light weight. Wheels on the back are good, but one would be nice if they were also on the front as the bag gets heavy and wheeling it across the airport terminal causes the handles to cut into my hands and I either have to wear gloves or take a break so my circulation is not I've been using the bag for over two years now and haven't had any problems with my bike, but packing everything in there to keep it from moving around defeats the whole point of being light weight since I now have to pay extra for the extra It would be great if Thule came up with a similar bag with some sort of lightweight metal frame instead of this cheap plastic one.
Additionally, the cover does not come with any padding to protect your bike, and it weighs 22 pounds, making a total of 54 pounds with my full suspension. A well-designed bike cover to keep your bike protected. Pool noodles are available at Dollar Tree. I cut them to the size that I needed.
As someone who rides a Santa Cruz 5010 XL, I knew there was a possibility the bike may not fit as it could be tight and I may have to remove the derailur. However I had the rear dropouts hanging out nearly an inch in the case because the bike has a short case when compared, Even trying to remove the rear shock to see if I can compress the frame and make it shorter, I was not successful. I do understand why most of these cases are so short. I will be sending this back. I think this case would only be useful on medium or short frames. I would suggest that if you have anything larger you remove this case.
It is padded in the wheel bags. There could not be a better day for me.
Having an easy-to-handle case that is well made and light weight is a major plus. The fact that it can be folded down for storage makes it perfect when you don't have much extra room. It's a stunning case, I love it!.
