Questions & Answers

Do you think the 51 cm triathlon bike will fit?

A bike up to 58cm can be stored in this case

In what unit of measurement is the volume of this case measured ?

There was a lot more bike than the 62" lineal feet maximum allowed by the united airlines bike policy. I paid the fee of 150 in the end. I was very pleased with the way my bike traveled Moving the case through the airport was easy. It was also very convenient to move it. It just so happens that I am only 5' 10" and 105 pounds. It would be a great choice to buy this case. As a precaution I added some extra packing around the delicate areas of the bike - It's best to be safe than sorry. We used bubble wrap with painters tape and it worked great.

A review says that this case is capable of transporting a tricycle, but an answer to the question says it will not?

There are four sizes that can be fitted to this case tricycles, road bikes, and time trial bikes from 45 cm to 58 cm

How much of my bike do I need to disassemble to get this carrier to work? Is it necessary to remove the pedals as well?

This product is for road frames measuring up to 60cm C A, you will also have to remove the Handlebar Stem and Handlebar to fit them and cover them in foam padding to ensure the paint of the bike frame is not damaged or scraped during transport. I strongly recommend covering all exposed and loose parts with foam before shipping, as if you do not, parts might get damaged during shipping and the paint on the frame may get scratched by the loose Wheel Axles or break. I'm sorry but better foam packaging recommendations aren't suggested, provided, or mentioned in the OEM manual for the E0901 or in the Amazon seller's manual. Neither the Amazon Sellers of this E0901 Case nor its Owners Manual have made the Owners Manual available.

I don't need it to be perfect, but it does the job I need it to do
4/5

It was one of my biggest pet peeves when shopping for a travel case to find there were no Below is a list of useful links that might be of interest to other road cyclists A few months ago, I bought this case to use for air travel. In total, it has flown five times. The road bike I use is a Trek 5200 road bike. Everything about it is pretty good. By incorporating all the straps and wheels into the case, it will ensure your bike is protected during travel. I have suffered a little damage to my bike from one of the flights, but it had nothing to do with the case it is the fault of someone in the TSA. Each and every time, the TSA has left something out even after thoroughly inspecting the case. There was a problem when one of the straps wasn't reattached to the bike The buckle broke. It is rather awkward to travel with the case, as the weight is not center on the rollers when the case is packed. You have to lean it against another piece of luggage or a wall to keep it from falling over. In spite of that, the rollers are quite smooth and do not give much resistance when walking. You will need some tools to assemble and disassemble your bike at your destination, as you can see in the photos. My speedplay pedals had to come off my crank shaft, the handlebars had to be removed, and the seat had to be lowered in order for the bike to fit into the case. The seat stem on my bike has imprints of a ruler on the carbon fiber stem before fitting it into my frame it is best to take a picture of it. Setting it back into position after you reach your destination will be easier with this guide. Depending on how I pack the case, I can get my shoes, gloves, helmet, a nice pump (had to remove base), tools, as well as my jerseys and shorts. The only thing I didn't There's just no way I trust the TSA to take care of anything. If you decide to take a full toolkit, I strongly recommend it. In this case, the wheels are separate from the frame by a pouch on the divider. With it, I can carry a full length pedal wrench, an allen key set, and other essential tools. In total, the weight with everything packed has been about 45 pounds. The weight is just above the over weight mark. My luggage is not oversize, and I have not yet been charged a fee for it. If your baggage is oversize and large, it will not come down the baggage claim carousel it has always gone to either the lost baggage office (Tucson, AZ) or to.

It has a compact design and is very This rating is an A+
5/5

It has a compact design and is very Using this method, I was able to transport my bicycle from California to Dubai with no problems. We were able to package my handlebars without removing my aero bars since I have aero bars on my bicycle. As well as the middle layer, there is a cushioning layer. The pedals fit into a nice pocket on the side of the pedal. Wheels on the case and handles on the outside allow it to be pulled easily. As far as bicycle transportation is concerned, I am extremely pleased with this purchase and will definitely continue to use it.

It was a success on the first attempt
4/5

Last week, we used this service for the first time to travel by plane roundtrip. I was able to secure my Cervelo P2 by looking at the photos, despite the lack of instructions. My frame is a bit big of 54cm, but the seat post doesn't go down enough to fit, so I had to remove it. The TSA has inspected both of my flights twice and everything is fine. materials, I used the $3 pack of low density rubber tubes (covered by the copper tubing on air conditioners) with one side slit open, which I taped over areas of the frame I felt needed extra protection (bring tape back with you! The old t-shirt I used to cover my rear derailleur was also a good choice It is a bit difficult to roll the case by pulling the front strap. It is the only minor complaint I have. LOL). I don't recommend it.

Rim hubs that need to be repaired
3/5

I was able to ship my bike internationally using the box within TSA guidelines and my bike and gear only weighed 45 lbs when packaged. The cons are It is unclear why the wheel hubs protruded through the side of my bag, I think additional straps inside would be sufficient to keep them in place. I lost both wheels during transit, and I am not sure why that is the design. I think you can actually just get by without that feature if you choose to use the case without it.

I have a small case to report - The wheels are too wide to fit a standard road bike
3/5

It seems that this case will be fine. It has grommet holes that allow QR skewers to be mounted (will only work with 12mm through axles and customer-supplied The pad would have to have a lot of extra padding inside to make me Its wheels are OK, but its castors are flimsier. This was my problem - the size wasn't right I couldn't fit my wheels into the molded diameters because they are too small. I feel like 26 inch or 650 wheel bikes are best suited to this. The 700x35C (622x18 rim) wheels and tires (standard gravel bike) didn't fit the frame.

This is a good case
3/5

It is the bike I used to ride a REI Ghost hybrid bike from Texas to Portland, Oregon for the bridge pedal event. This bike case worked well overall, but it tends to lean making it difficult to handle, as some of the previous reviews said. It would be better if the case had been a little lighter because with the bike in it, I exceeded the 50 pound limit. I was unable to fly with American Airlines because of their $150 per way limit. Due to the TSA not being able to figure out how to put things back, I bought this case. An intact zipper prevents such a scenario. As well, the case is a bit short for my bike- I had to turn it around and put the cog up instead of down as it is designed and The case was good on the whole.

This is a good choice for short trips and occasional As its 54cm, my 54cm bike barely fit and I had to remove the seat and adjust the seat post
3/5

The case isn't straight and pulls to the right, so you need to keep picking it up in order to get it straight. It's possible they could have included more padding and the nylon straps on the inside can rub against the frame of your bike.

Resulted in a good result! Costs for bike boxes are out of this world
4/5

In brief, this one was at the lower end, but it served its purpose As a result of its flight over the Atlantic Ocean, the carbon bike arrived in perfect condition. Box is not in the best shape since it has sheered somewhat while I pulled on it, making it wiggly when I pull on Despite this, I am pleased with the outcome. You've got a great looking site there! The contents of that box are often a matter of question.
