Can I use this case to bring my bike on a plane safely?

Take the time to reinforce the sections that need reinforcement. The space between the wheels and the outer wall should be filled with cardboard. derailleur (many just make a box out of cardboard scraps, others from a plastic Over most of the frame tubes, I placed cheap plumbing insulation tubes purchased at a home improvement store. the same for an aero carbon fiber bike, but I had to cut the insulation tubes in half first and attach them. You can usually find fork spacers and rear frame spacers at your local shop, since they usually throw them away after receiving You can use these or similar tools to prevent frames from crushing. As long as you take a few additional precautions, this bag will work fine. This is a far more affordable price About 900 dollars. I wish you a pleasant peddling experience.

Is it strong enough to handle a 26-inch ?

a large mountain bike would fit if you mean a 26" wheel size. It's not a 26" downtube bike like those from the 1890s, because for some reason you were thinking of that.

Would you please let me know how much weight this bag has?

My scale shows that I have lost just over 5 pounds. As stated by the manufacturer, there are four. There are 6 pounds in the bag. The flight arrived just a few minutes ago It looks really good - The production of A woman who holds a man This is the size of a

It looks like it would fit a 27 medium. Can I pack a 5 MTB in a cardboard box and travel on an airplane?

You're just securing your belongings in It won't stand upright, neither empty, nor with a bike in it. The sides aren't rigid, there aren't any internal supports to hold your bike in place, and it will not fold flat on its side. The table must be flat, and no objects can be placed on top of doubt cardboard would survive baggage handling, and I do not think it will help much either. When I bought mine, I had a lot of time to prepare. Since it was too late to return, I did not have a chance to do so.

have the potential to work well for airline travel with a little improvement
5/5

In my experience, these bags have proven very useful to my wife and me while we travel the world with our touring bicycles (700 wheels). My bicycle bag is reinforced on the bottom with 1/2-inch plywood and is secured with plywood and PVC pipes so that the bikes are trapped in place, with the drive sprocket suspended above the bottom of the bag. Self-management is an important aspect of our business as well An additional layer of protection can be added by inflating sleeping mats. to making the entire package fit in a suitcase is to keep it under 50 pounds. far, we have not encountered any bicycle damage while traveling by air with bicycles, and we have not had to spend any extra money on bicycle shipping. However, it makes sense to research this with the airline beforehand. It is very easy to bring a bicycle on Alaska Air and British Air.

To reinforce and stabilize the cardboard bike box, use it in conjunction.

The width of the bag is perfect, the material is sturdy, and it is well constructed
5/5

Having never traveled with a bike bag before, this is my second attempt. B & D There are no sharp edges on my bike bag (it is right-angles on all sides). of the bag appeals to me, and there are many storage sections inside. As far as cons go, I cannot think of any. It would have been nice to have had this bag when I biked in Mallorca last year. The width is much better. It is much easier to carry my bike on my shoulder, and I won't annoy baggage handlers with heavy rigid bikes.

I used this on a plane and it worked just fine
4/5

A few months ago, I went cycling and began looking for bicycle This was one of the most affordable bags I had seen. Hard cases are far too expensive. When I contacted my bike mechanic, he told me he had a box extra. The box was custom fitted to the bag after we took out the wheels and pedals. In the next step, I padding to the best of my ability. A little bent handlebar had to be fixed, but after that we were good to go. Upon my return, I put my bike back on the bag and it quite comfortably fits. In order to make this bike better, there are two possible ways The shoulders strap should be longer and the wheels larger. Using the shoulder strap will fail to support the bag. You are unable to carry it properly with that A solution for the problem can be found if you add wheels. It would be a great bag if it had an outside pocket. It has some damaged and ripped areas, but is in general a durable product. In other words, it might last maybe a total of three more round trips. I got a result, though! Additionally, I stuffed my bike pump and other little items into the bag along with my shoes. Despite the challenges they faced, they succeeded. I booked my flight through Jetblue (bad bicycle policy, do not book! I also booked with Delta (amazing bike policy at a wonderful price of $135). I paid $30 for this. Despite the bag being 48 lbs. , I was sweating profusely. A new update was released on 18 January 2021 My bag weight was 51 lbs this time. This was the third time I used this bag. This bag held my bike, water bottles, shoes, multitools, and other items. The weight of the object was pretty high. My bicycle was in Puerto Rico, and I was moving there permanently. This was a one way trip. Unfortunately, I thought I had loaded my bag on the plane before the airline (Delta) remembered. It came to me the next day, so I got it right away. The bag appeared to be fine. There is a little bit of wear and tear, but that is to be As soon as I got home, I took out the box I had placed in the bag in my first trip, and put it in the There are about 6 pounds of weight in the bag itself. Although this bag may need to be replaced after quite a few trips, I think it will last me quite a while.

It's just a bag, after all! I love how soft this bag is! A commercial flight, especially an airline flight, is not in this category
4/5

Everyone should understand that it is just a bag. With that in mind, it's a great game. The material is of the highest quality. Both sides of the bag have wheels and pockets for accessories There is plenty of room to store everything you need. A bag is only a bag! The handlebars of my 56cm trek road bike are retained without the need to remove them. It's just a matter of taking out the wheels, turning the handlebars and putting them back on Invert the bike so that it's running upside down (crank it You can wear the bag as a backpack or with a shoulder strap Don't pack too much, but make sure you have handles! Bag has a lot of space and can hold a lot of things I don't think this is an airline bag. It has no wheels, can't be pushed or dragged! Carry this bag and a lot of other stuff There are a lot of things I recommend it as a great STORAGE solution, or even for simple travel (car, train, etc), whenever YOU are allowed to set your bag down and take off. We will not be moving it. This is true for me and it is true for you Exactly what I need, this bag is perfect! The only thing I wish was that it was a little firmer at the bottom, had an additional pocket on the inside, and an ID/claim holder on the.

It is a good bag for cross-country travel with a 52 pound electric bike

Ship the battery a week before going. It is a good bag for the price. You should reinforce the bottom of the bag and use as much bubble wrap as possible.

It is not a bad option for the price
4/5

The system is relatively easy to use. It wasn't what I expected at that price. The material was flakey and not very durable. With it, I was able to transport my bicycle by plane and fill it with air bubbles and cardboard. While my bike was in good condition, my suitcase had some holes in it. The one I have is old. In addition to what I have just said, I repeat. It is not a bad option for the price.

Travel by plane is not the best option
3/5

If you are traveling by car, this bag will work but for airplane travel you should invest in a hard case bag for a bike. Considering how airlines treat their customer's luggage it makes no sense to travel by air without a hard case bag. Although we wrapped the bike in many towels and blankets and packed it carefully, our bike was badly damaged on the flight. For the bike to be fixed, we had to go to a bike shop. Since we did not have to buy a new bike, we were fortunate to not have to pay extra for a bag. As for its softness, the bag is easy to store when not in use and, as promised, we received the bag in two days.
