As a person who has ridden the bike for over 150 miles, I can vouch for the following I was surprised at how well the package arrived (first picture). ** 2) Vilano takes good care of its shipment, as you can see in their packaging (second picture). 1) The initial assembly was easy and straightforward, and the instructions were clear and easy * 5) The seat is more comfortable than my old bike seat, but bike shorts definitely make a difference. 6) The pedals did not look bad, so I set them on my old bike (I used the bike clips that came with my 1) The water bottle cage from which I hang the bottle will last me for at least three months (Green Gatorade Water Bottle for 50 mile rides). These are some of the best bike gear Please note that The Lights (Fourth Picture)* - A bike clip, pedals, or shoe - Container for holding water bottles - A cycling jersey and shorts - The small bag for snacks and tools of Vilano is very handy
I will recommend Vilano Products to my friends and will look at them again when I purchase my next bike.
Not much is happening on the brakes. There are few bikes out there that are this good for this price. Despite its size, it is quite lightweight. I like the old style lever mounted in the middle of the handlebars, but adjustments are needed to get it to work well. In my opinion, the brakes are the worst part of the car. It's not as if they are strong. In order to slow down once you've adjusted the caliper position as close to centered on the disc as you can, then tightened the cable so that the pads are as close to the disc as possible without dragging, you still have to squeeze hard. Though they have mechanical cable actuated disc brakes on this bike, I thought they could do better because I compare it to road bikes that cost 3x this much. (They have hydraulic disc brakes or rim brakes, not cable actuated disc brakes like this bike). It can be useful, but it is a pain to use. So far, the bike has been enjoyable to ride. I rode it about 150 miles right after assembly.
Today is Tuesday, May 22nd, and the update is below.
Disc brakes might be faster but may not be as strong as drum brakes. It has been noted by another reviewer that the braking is lacking power. A noise is heard as soon as the shifter is unboxed. The pros include Approximately 70% to 80% assembled in a box similar to the OEM. The bike was put together within an hour (I never had put a bike together Based on my research, this is a reasonable price for an aluminum bike. The cons are From the OEM package, the tires look worn almost to the point of being worn out. There's a professional tune coming from the shifter while it makes noise. Typically, it will cost $60 to $80 to get set up. It was mentioned in one of the reviews I had read. In that case, the bike would have cost 450 dollars.
These bikes and this company have nothing but bad things to say about them. The main box that the bike arrived in was in good condition, but the smaller boxes inside had been ripped open and had been severely There are no words in the assembly instructions, just pictures, and they seem to be not all that clear. There are no assembly video tutorials available online, and even those use confusing language. As you may have noticed, the front wheel rotor comes detached and is taped to it with screws, however the tape leaves a film behind that is nearly impossible to remove. I wound up with a bike that was too big for me due to their highly inaccurate sizing chart on their ad. have contacted customer service about exchanging the product and/or returning it, and have never been able to resolve this issue.
I'm pretty small, so most of the road bikes I found were considerably more expensive or had much too large of a frame. My favorite feature of the bike was that it had disk brakes and decent components for its price point. Putting it together was very easy once it arrived. In this article it suggests (and I would agree) that you get it adjusted professionally unless you understand what you are doing because there were definitely some adjustments needed to get the shifting smoothed out and so that the brakelines were properly tensioned. In addition to the comfort that comes with it, it has enough gears to get me up some steeper hills that surround me. I am pretty satisfied with the bike so far. The only thing I changed were the pedals, since those were the only parts that I thought were cheap. The pedals I already had were fine, and although I might have switched them for the stock ones if they had been nicer, I would have bought some to replace the stock ones if I wasn't already using a better set of pedals.
Avoid it. Don't buy the brand you're used to! I don't think this bike is even worth buying. As the brakes are so weak, riding it is really dangerous. As for the front derailleur, it is impossible to adjust. As for the front cogs, they are bent. The front of the item was scratched when it arrived. A one-time fee of 150 dollars max was supposed to be charged, not 400 dollars. The experience was not good. This brand should not be trusted. Stay away from it!.
To have it assembled correctly, it cost $85 at two different bike shops. It is nice that the brakes work well, but that is as much as I could There's also a lot of vague steering- The safety of this device has been checked and corrected. Unfortunately, the situation has not improved. You can't ride hands free on this bike.
The next day, priority-mail was used to send a missing item along with other small tools. Thanks so much for the prompt response and service, as well as the bike is quite light weight in comparison to what I was expecting.
