Surprisingly, Schwinn refers to this frame as a medium, but most other brands refer to it as a large, so keep that in mind. You'll need a 17"-wide shoe for someone who is 5'4" tall. Other factors come into play, however, such as the 19" frame. If at all possible, try to locate one in your area and sit on it to get a feel for it; that way, you'll know for sure. This is an excellent starter/commuter/bargain bike
5/5

My previous bike had been stolen, so I needed a new one to get to work. I hadn't ridden in a long time, so I set out to find a beginner bike to get back into it. This bike is ideal for commuters or new cyclists, and it features the following features: Advantages: br>br>
- The assembly process isn't too bad. The frame already has a crank, chain, and brakes. All you have to do now is tighten a few screws and connect a few pieces, and you're ready to go. There's no need to worry about setting up the handlebar because it's already taped and braked.
- For the everyday rider, 14 speeds has a good high and low. br>- The tires are 700x28 (rather than 23), which makes them a little more forgiving.
- The value for money is excellent. br> Shimano's shifter/brake is simple to use and welcoming to new riders.
- Cons:br>br>Quick release tiresbr>br>Quick release tiresbr>br>Quick release tiresbr>
- Brakes needed to be fine-tuned in order to function properly.
- The seat is fine, but the red marks on my pants have rubbed off. br>br>The only other issue I have is that 53cm is a little too much for me. With the bike straight up, I'm unable to stand above the bar. There are two reasons for you: I'm 5'7" tall and have short legs. br>br>For those of you who are heavier riders: This can help you get up and riding until you're ready for your next one! I'm 275 pounds and I can ride this thing without any problems. br>br>I would recommend this bike to anyone and will update this comment if any new information becomes available. For the price, I'd give it a five-star rating.

Ideal for commuting or as a first bike
3/5

Although the wheels are blowing, This was purchased as a present for my son. Because I know he won't ride nearly as much as I do, I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a bike until he starts putting in serious miles. As a result, it was a good fit for our budget. First and foremost, it is HEAVY, so don't expect to win any races with it. br>Apart from that, it appears to be extremely reliable. It took about an hour to fine-tune and adjust everything to the correct settings. br>I've noticed one major issue after he's driven it for about 70 miles. The front and rear tubes had to be replaced even with proper inflation. Furthermore, after less than 30 miles of riding, the rear tire completely failed and required replacement. While these aren't expensive repairs and are part of routine bike maintenance, I don't think I'd expect to have to do them on a brand new bike. br>br>Also, on a side note, the rims are drilled for Schrader valves rather than Presta as I would expect in a road rim.

But be prepared if you ride this bike
4/5

My first road bike, and it's a good one. It's extremely light, to the point where it took some getting used to. Shifting is also intimidating at first, but after a few laps around the neighborhood, it becomes second nature. The front tire REFUSES to hold air, so be aware that when you buy this bike (700c x 28), you should buy a new bike tube. Also, make sure your brakes are adjusted! They don't come ready to use right out of the box, but the instructions explain how to use them. Overall, a fantastic value and a fantastic ride for a first-time road biker; however, I wish I knew how to contact the seller about the front inner tube.

I just got here yesterday: first impressions and concerns I just received this product in the mail yesterday after purchasing it last week
5/5

It took about 45 minutes to an hour to put the set together. Because this is my first road bike, I don't have any experience with the materials, so I can't comment on their quality like other reviews, but everything appears to be in good working order. The wheels are a lovely complement to the slick and pretty frame. (The two boxes the bike came in are the ones the bike is in front of. ) One of them is encased within the other. )br>br>When the bike arrived and I started putting it together, I knew I'd made the right choice. It comes with a fairly large booklet that I used as a guide for assembly, but I mostly just went by feel. I read a lot of reviews that said to follow the instructions, but I was too excited to do so when I put it together. Zip-ties were used to cover the bike. Everything in the box appeared to be safe and secure, with ties and foam. The wheels are what keep me riding this bike. They look great on the bike; you can't tell from the photo, but the spokes are black, and they go perfectly with the frame color. The product's only flaw right out of the box was a broken front reflector (as seen in the photos). ) It was all in one piece and still served its purpose, but it was a disappointment. Because there were so few reviews and pictures of this product, I was extremely hesitant to make a purchase. As a result, it was a risky move. br>br>The only other issue I've had (and was concerned about when I bought it) is the size; this listing says nothing about it, but I'm here to tell you that it's slightly too big for someone who is 5'9". It's a little too close for comfort (if you know what I mean) when I stand up and straddle the frame. ) In order to be comfortable, I have to recline the seat all the way. Before placing the order, I inquired about the size with one of the vendors, National Sports, and they quickly responded, informing me that it is only available in an 18-inch size. (Large, 56cm) frame with a width of 19 inches. The fact that they don't offer other sizes is disappointing, but whatever. So I was aware that there was a risk, and it is one that I will have to bear. I'm taking it to the bike shop today to have it checked out and make sure I did everything correctly. br>br>After putting it together, I felt confident enough to go for a mile ride just to get a feel for it, and I had no problems. The back brake required some adjusting before it could assist in stopping me, but that should be taken care of by the bike shop. I'll try to update you in a month or so after I've ridden it for more than a mile and owned it for more than 24 hours; I hope this was useful! Please contact me if you have any further questions; I would have appreciated it if you had done so when I was shopping for a home.

This bike provides a thrilling ride that gets you where you want to go without putting your life in danger
5/5

I borrowed one of the more expensive bikes and discovered that it is much easier to pedal and get around on them. I didn't need all of the bells and whistles that come with them; all I needed was a bike that I could ride to work on without passing out. This bike provides a thrilling ride that gets you where you want to go without putting your life in danger. This is partly due to the fact that the seat's bar is tilted back at an angle, putting your hamstrings and calves to work. Your knees are destroyed by cheap bikes that are difficult to get around on. Their bar is perpendicular and thus not ergonomically correct; this bike is more ergonomically correct; however, this one is too tall for me, so I ordered the 48 cm version and am giving this awesome bike to my tall son. I'm 5'2" and he's 5"11" tall. Riding on the lawn is prohibited; it is only for rds. The thin tires will be destroyed by you.
