Questions & Answers

Women 5'3" tall, I have brown eyes and black hair. I'm getting a 5 what size should I order?

Five years old and got my first one just now. It was 7 and I got it. It's good. Mmmmmmm. If the middle one is closest to you. If possible, I would recommend getting the smallest size.

What size should I purchase if I'm 5 feet 6 inches?

Despite being 5 feet 8 inches, I measured 53 centimeters. I like it very much, but the 49cm would have been a better choice if I wanted to raise the seat and have a little more drop from the handlebars to the seat. Because of this, I would recommend a 49 cm for someone 5'6".

Could this bike be suitable for a woman who is 5 feet 3 inches tall?

It is true that I am 63 inches tall. To my liking, it's the right size.

Can you tell me the size of the top tube of the bike frame?

This is a 20 inch item

I would have never bought that bike if I knew more about biking
3/5

$ 569 + $20 for shipping + $50 for tax (CA) + $90 for truing up the wheels (they are shipped not straight) and I now have a bike worth $730, about $350 over what a bike of this quality actually should. I believe it is much more important to spend your time on that. You can educate yourself about bicycle group sets (the separate parts that make up a bike) for four hours and/or find a lightly used, very high quality bike for under $400 on CL, Ebay or Facebook. It was after I bought the bike that I did all this research and now I'm really regretting It is still hard for me to let go of my 40 year old, quality road bike, even after using the Vilano bike and getting it ready to ride. * * * * I can't remember the last time I had so.

Bike is really good for the price
5/5

I put it together myself and checked it/tuned it You don't need a lot of tools to assemble this. The weekend was pretty good for me as I went on a 30 mile bike ride. In terms of weight, it is a bit heavy for a road bike. A little less than 25lb compared to the average 18lb of a road bike. The longer rides on this bike will give me more insights. I can report back when I get back with more information. Considering that this is my first road bike, I don't have a great deal of knowledge but I have been riding two wheels for a long time. It took a little bit of getting used to, but I enjoyed the ride.

Commuting is easy with this bike
5/5

Therefore, the main reason I bought this bike was so I could The score is about a ten out of ten It involves a mile-long commute (16km) and includes bike lanes, a bit of sidewalk, and a few For those of you in the metro area of Washington, D. C. , you may be familiar with how bad the construction is always, how the roads are always cracked, and how there are always Thus, I found this bike to be a perfect commuter bike for me because it is good enough to make it easier to commute than if I was using a mountain bike, and it is cheap enough that I don't have to be too careful when riding. One thing I did not like were the breaks were too tight at first and required adjustment, which was annoying, and the other thing was that when I was shifting gears the chain would skip a lot, so much so that I required tuning (about $45) from the bike shop. The bike is overall a great commuter bike.

I really like this bike
4/5

To be sure I can write a review after all this time, I waited until Christmas. Once we got it, we took it to a bike shop and found that a lot of things were wonky with In addition to this, the brake line was not sufficiently long to turn corners, and the spokes of the wheel were loose in some places and tight in others, causing the wheel to As soon as we paid $200 extra for the bike, it worked fine. The bike is great to ride and looks sharp.

This is an amazing bike! It's a bit of a hassle to set up, but it can be done if you have a little The bike is my life, and I am 53 years of age
5/5

Four hundred forty-nine dollars was spent on the purchase. Some people get nothing but frustration by comparing bikes like this (for $500 or less) to bikes that cost $1,000 or more Five thousand. They better be set up professionally for those prices. My front wheel had to be trued, it took me about 25 minutes The first time I used a $60 truing machine, it took me 30 minutes to true it. Next time, it will probably take half that time, and I will be able to do it myself any other time I need it I find it the most difficult to remember that you loosen or tighten the spokes in the reverse order. As for the rear wheel, it was just about perfect. I did have to adjust the derailleurs, which I never enjoy doing. I had to take some time to notice that the front derailleur included trim, which was handy for reducing chain rub with the The absence of disc brakes is something that has caused some people to voice their concerns. For the first few years after they were invented, bicycles were equipped with caliper brakes there were few It has been a safe and solid braking system so far. This comment is related to the audiophiles who believe that if you do not use the newest technology or use items that cost an excessive amount then you are using junk speakers, cables, etc. It has been a smooth shift after they have been adjusted. There is still some need to fine-tune the low and high speed limits, but it is not urgent enough that I feel I must do so right now. It seems like everyone on the review site has complained about shifting with no changes made. I was disappointed that it did not come with a kickstand, but I was able to purchase one for $16 at Dick's Sporting Goods, or through Amazon. The rest of the bike looks well made, and I think that's much better than a $200 bike. The one you want must attach to the rear frame, side mounted, and not bolted to the frame with a bolt. It's still fairly common to see one like this on motorcycles. *In summary, it might sound like I am an experienced cyclist, but that is not the case. In terms of truing and derailleur adjustment, I read a book on mountain bike maintenance, supplemented by online research, and spent between 45 minutes and an hour preparing the bike. I have only ridden 10 mountain bikes so far. Thus far, I have driven 20 miles (2 days), but I am very pleased with it. There is an excellent finish to the bike, and it is incredibly light. It's not common for me to talk about packing, but I must mention that the box was damaged (by UPS), but the bike wasn't As I opened it in front of the UPS driver, he commented that it had been packed better than most of the will now be able to put the remaining $500 to good use I used the $4,500 I did not spend on a bike that cost twice as much as my last used car to buy equipment, cycling clothing, etc. If you don't mind the research, and waiting an extra day or two, I believe you will be very happy with buying this bike. A road bike with 14 speeds, designed for use on the road. You cannot use it for trails, or for Mountain biking is something I do on my bike. It has only 14 gears, and I have used gear 14 on both occasions that I've rode it. It was initially a concern that it didn't have 21 gears. Generally, I would not be concerned about this except on significant downgrades where I would rather keep pedaling beyond the required level. I will try to remember to update this review as I ride more.

This is only applicable to commuters
3/5

You get what you pay for with this bike even though it's a great price. One of the largest disadvantages was that it was difficult to shift into any gears, even after it was We had a hard time shifting hills only. Only a commuter bike can be used for this.

The bike is awesome, and the price is awesome, too! I use this only for fitness and casual cycling
5/5

I found it to be a great value for the money. It was fairly easy to put together, and adjusting the seat height and handle position proved to be less problematic than expected. Despite the fact that the shifters work perfectly, I will get a shop to fine tune them. There is a slight friction between the chain and the chaingate on the fourth gear, large Shifting can be a little rough occasionally as well. I ride with just the chamois as seat padding, I do not need any more. As of now, I have covered a total of 65 miles on it, so I cannot comment on the tubes or tires. It's only the brakes (weak and slow to stop so be careful) and the chainring set that is a real concern. It has only 14 speeds, and I already feel that top gear is not providing enough resistance, though that may be As someone with a 21-speed mountain bike, I'm accustomed to riding at high speeds with lots of resistance. - love the bike. Would recommend this to anyone who is looking to ride a road bike but does not want to spend more than $1000.
