This is an accurate representation of the situation. This battery has no hinges or caps. There isn't a single area that is completely flat. It can slide on rails to connect to the base at certain points on the bottom.
It's been a while since I purchased this, but I believe I only purchased the battery and not the clamp. I also didn't require the clam.
Yes, I have a 6770 series ultegra, but mine came with an external battery holder, which I find to be sufficient.
On the non-locking side, there's a latch that flips out. The battery can then be released by pressing a small button on the drive side. When you release the battery, it slides up.

A few months ago, I bought this batter. My previous battery had a five-year life span. Within the riding season, I would charge twice: once in early spring when I first got my bike out, and again in late August to get me through the fall. It kept dying on me this year, so I decided it was time to replace it. This is the one I bought, and I have to charge it every two weeks or it will die. It has now ruined rides for me, and I'd like a refund, but you can't contact the seller through this website.
It accomplishes the task at hand. This battery was purchased as a backup in the event that my primary battery failed. There isn't much to say except that it arrived exactly as described and functions flawlessly, with a slightly matte finish. My primary battery is operating at a much higher level of efficiency. To me, it makes no difference. My only criticism is the price, but aside from that, I would strongly recommend it to anyone.
It's a di2 battery that appears to be in good working order and holds a charge. I'm at a loss for words!.
The price is fantastic and it functions flawlessly.
For my bike, this is an excellent backup battery.
Although it is an older electronic system, it is still very good.
They refused to replace or refund the item, stating that they would wait to see how the manufacturer (Shimano) responded before making a final decision. The matter is still in the works.
