Questions & Answers

The chain is #25 ansi. Does the chain work on the ?

As a bicycle chain fan, I do not have direct experience with this topic however, comparing the dimensions of the two chains (Bicycle Chains are narrow versions of ANSI #40), the #25's roller diameter is 3 inches. A 3-mm drill bit is 7-mm while a # 40 drill bit is 3 mm. The thickness of the eight millimeter sheet. The tool is not likely to be of much use to me. Its name implies that it is universal only in terms of bicycle chains of different widths. Using 9 speed (6, I can confirm that it works. The equivalent of six to six. ANSI #40) chains with an 8 mm width.

This tool is made of hardened steel to reduce the risk of the tabs breaking off when being used?

It is made of molybdenum My use of the chain has not revealed any signs of deformation or distress during the way it breaks Because I haven't encountered any rusted or stuck chains yet, I am unable to comment on how well it performs under more severe conditions. So far, the tool has been a good find for me.

The weight of the object is what?

The weight of the substance is 82 grams per 2 oz. There is 89 oz in the package Please see https//www.nbsp

Do you think this will work on the ?

Although I am not certain, I believe you might want something more durable. The bicycle chain is very narrow approximately 3/32 of an inch, so this tool is more of an occasional use item rather than one used frequently in the workshop. Due to the teeth on a chain saw, I would expect it to have more depth as well. To put it differently, I am unsure that this would be

The tool seems to be useful
4/5

The item I purchased became something I will keep in my saddle bag in case of need and also for when it's time to replace This little lighter is only 3 inches long, but it also weighs almost 3 ounces, so it's a little on the heavy side. I like how well-made it is, and how sturdy it feels. Whether or not it originates in Taiwan instead of China may be an indicator that it is made with A Parker CT-5 mini chain tool was also on my list, but I liked this one more for the simplicity and the chain clip and chain pin storage it offers. In contrast to the Parker CT-5, you cannot change the pins out of the tool, so hopefully that won't be a problem. Additionally, the handle comes off rather easily, but a little Loctite could be applied to fix that problem It should work fine, I'll update if it leaves me walking or fails when I have to change the chain, but I won't have to use it during a ride.

The design of the 12-inch screen is bad It is necessary to modify the speed chains
3/5

Although this chain breaker is not a bad piece of equipment, narrow chains used in modern 12-volt systems do not work well with it Various speed MTB drivetrains are available. In the pictures you can see how those little prongs that hold the chain to the tool backplate actually make it impossible for it to sit flush against it. The prongs might still do the job, but I would much rather my chain be pushed at a flat angle (Photo 1) with no chance of getting bent, so I filed the prongs (Photo 2) until the chain was flush with As of today, it still works well, but a tool that is advertised for 12-hour use could be dangerous It should not be necessary to modify speed chains.

Perfect! I was just looking for something like this
5/5

The project I was working on required that I break down a bunch of chains into dozens of little chain bits. After working with one of the cheap $5 big box store tools for just a few minutes, I realized that there must be a better tool. There was no turning back now. The handle has a strong construction, good leverage, and a push pin which actually stays in line with the chain pin while it is being turned. I have lost count of how many links I have separated at this point (cannot wait to assemble them again! I see how hard it has been on the tool) and every time I use it. Considering how much I use it daily, it probably has nearly a lifetime's worth of "normal" use already, and if it ever breaks or wears out, I will gladly buy another one. I definitely appreciate the quality of the product! This comment has been edited to add. (4/10/2014) As of now, I have used this tool to separate nearly 1000 individual links, which is a lot harder than it seems. It is beginning to show signs of wear, but it is still working The fact that this item was probably not designed with such a high degree of constant (ab)use in mind makes it quite useful. I'd say it's tough enough to endure most anything a As a result of it thriving in some terrible conditions, I award this tool an honorary 6th star.

This chain breaker has big power for its small size
5/5

In just a few minutes, I broke an Ultega 10 speed chain and a KMC 9 speed chain for my track bike. Then, I broke others from Ultega's 10 and 11 speed chain lines. It takes less than 10 minutes to perform all of these tasks. The breaker broke each chain with little effort each and every time. In fact, it broke chains almost as easily as my Park breaker without any modifications. The size of that breaker is huge for such a small device. The saddle bag or even full-time breaker is totally worth having for your saddle bag or even your full-time bicycle. Thanks for reading!.

Adding chains to your toolbox has never been easier
4/5

The compact design of this chain tool sets it apart from other smaller chain tools. As soon as I received the tool I inserted it into a Shimano chain and drove out the chain pin. I didn't use any gimmicks to leverage the tool. Or, to put it another way, I simply used my fingers. Overall, it appears that this tool will function without driving you nuts, and I like the fact that once you have driven the pin in, there is a shelf to center it so that the link will not bind. It is better to bend the chain until you can unfreeze the link than to bend it until it unfreezes. As an aside, this tool is not meant to be used in the shop. Although it can replace the size of a full size chain tool, it cannot replace its functionality It is worth its weight in gold. You can't expect it to break through twenty chains in one go.

Taking a sharp knife through butter is like a walk in the park
5/5

My chain link popper has been on the fritz for years. While watching countless YouTube videos to see what magic others were doing that I couldn't seem to duplicate, I felt like I was doing something wrong. As a result of using this chain breaker, I can safely say that all of my old, cheap models did not measure up. While doing that, I discovered that the pin openings on some chain breakers are a bit smaller than on The strongest man on the planet could break a chain that has larger pins that are external to your tool but you still wouldn't be able to break it On a 9-inch screen, this would look like this the pins into place like butter through a knife. A sliding lever provides greater leverage than you can get from a spring lever. When I was installing my old breakers, I would take a monkey wrench and grip the lever to be able to exert a lot of force in order to get them working. Approximately the only thing I would improve about this tool is how the chain holder is attached on the handle (that bit on the handle). it's awesome that it includes one of these at all, it can fall out quite easily, so keep it close to you so it doesn't get lost.

A bent one showed up in mine
3/5

I will have to purchase another one of these from someone else this time around. When it arrived, the tool was twisted (see picture still in the I am sure it will be claimed that it was bent in transit or something, but to be fair, It's not very durable if it can bend this easily during transit, so you should go on to something else. It is a strong plate. I bent it back with pliers and it was still a sturdy plate. Despite my efforts, I could not bend it back fully. There is still some functionality that still "kinda" works, so I gave it two stars. The chain could have been cut easier but it didn't fit correctly as I was cutting it along the way. I really want to like this product, but I feel bad that there was no quality check performed when it was shipped to me. I feel like if it happened to me, it could happen to you as well. If this capability is included in your multi tool, you'll be better off.
