Questions & Answers

The wrench head is made of how thick a metal?

At the head of the wrench, it is 3/16 in thick or 4 millimeters thick. Measuring with a digital caliper, the diameter is 75 mm.

For what kind of bike is this?

You have two sizes to choose from. I believe 9/16" and 15mm are the correct sizes. According to my memories, my really old bikes (1980s) may have used a 9/16" bolt. Now that I have all of my bikes set up with 15mm, I use all of them.

How about Shimano pedals? Will this work with them?

This pedal adapter fits my Shimano M9100 XTR and my Shimano There is no size that fits most pedals. I purchased this because I have protective covers around the bottom of my crank and the pedal wrench is thin enough to fit between the protective covers and An open end wrench with a standard "narrow" handle could not fit through the cover.

What country does it come from?

The item is manufactured in the United States.

For pedal removal, the only tool required is a screwdriver

year-old seized The tires have 4K miles on them) with zero problems. It was good to have a wrench that was able to handle both sizes, because they were 9/16 rather than 15 mm. Essentially this is a tool to be used in a shop as well as a minor upgrade to the consumer version for There is a key in the size and shape. It has a long handle that is quite wide and easy to grasp. A standard wrench is too wide for this tool's business end, so this is what you need. In case you have not removed the pedals, please watch the Park tool video for more common sense tips. You can use this wrench to do it easily once you do it once. It is impossible to overstate how much I recommend it. The legacy I leave my great grandchildren will be passed on to them. Not enough stars, but will still remove any bolt (15mm or 9/16) attached by man or machine. It may be obsolete in 100 years, but it still works.

This is an excellent tool that is ergonomic, comfortable, and If you have a wrench to do the job, this is one of those tools that you don't anticipate having to acquire

Get the proper tool for the job the first time! In my case, I tried removing the pedals with a hex key (impossible) and an adjustable wrench (they would not move even after I used a hammer to hit the wrench in the appropriate A little force and presto! I used this pedal wrench, and it was quick and easy! It took only a few seconds to remove the pedals, and installing the new ones was no problem at all.

If you don't have this tool, you are severely missing out! Since I repaired my first bike about 50 years ago, I have been doing it professionally

I bought the PW-200 because I did not have access to bike tools at the moment I took the 3 pedal wrench instead of the PW- because I did not feel it was necessary to spend the extra money As it is not likely to get heavy use, it gets a 4. It entails a variety of tasks ranging from These three worked well with my pedals and provided plenty of leverage in terms of removing tight, corroded The tool also allows you to apply plenty of torque to your new pedals, which makes it easy to install them. it's not possible to find a wrench that can fit the pedal flats, and there are very few combination wrenches that are thin enough to reach the flats, There is a good chance this tool will be handed down for a few There's no better way to describe it!.

This is a heavy duty job

A nice handle allows you to use it when changing pedals and gets at the pedals without scraping up your hands. Worth the extra money in my opinion if you're changing pedals several times a day.

That's a great wrench, There's no need to worry about this wrench, it works as expected
5/5

This fits comfortably in between the pedals, since some wrenches are to thick to fit in between them. My bikes have both 9/16' and 15 mm bolts so I need a wrench that covers both. It's nice to have the appropriate tool when I need to work on pedals. I don't use it very often, but when I do, it's nice to have it.

This tool provides a strong foundation for your business

It is not advisable to buy thinner pedal wrenches at a discount. In the past, I have used a few pedal wrenches, but I found that when I serviced used bikes I bought, the pedals stayed quite well on them. My previous incident involved bending two wrenches trying to loosen a stuck accelerator pedal, even using WD40 and other liquids to try to loosen it. I was able to remove the pedal only after I got hold of the Park Tool Pedal wrench. This is not a cheap program, but if you use it a lot, it pays for itself within a year.

This tool is so important, so why did it take me so long to buy it? There is no better tool for the job than this

It's hard to lose a hold of this, as it's heavy and solid. I highly recommend installing the chain on the largest sprocket before attempting to loosen a stubborn pedal on the drive side. If you keep your knuckles as tight as you can, they will thank you. It is a good idea to purchase this tool in case you need to remove a pedal and your local bike shop is out of business.

The Right Tool on the Right Day
5/5

With Parkinson's, great tools are essential for working on my recumbent tadpole trike. As you can see, the tools in this photo are mostly what I need. It was a pleasure to use the tool because of its weight and balance. As a result of the leverage and balance, I was able to replace my pedals without any assistance! It is a Park Tool PW - In the photo upper middle, the wrench with the largest size is 3.
