It is true. Both the Shrader and Presta positions are available with the yellow slider on top. I love how easy it is to slip on and off without losing significant amounts of air, and the readout is easy to see. A swiveling head makes it easier and more comfortable to hold the gauge no matter what angle the valve is set at. This gauge has been in my possession for a year and I would definitely recommend it.
In order to do this, you have to be in the correct mode. Once the reading of the pressure has been completed, press the circle-labelled "tune" button then hold down the yellow "air release" button to release air so the unit will automatically read the new reading.
Presta valves can be used with it. It has a setting for presta and a setting for Schrader. If you want to test a loan, you need to quickly determine how the valve will perform. In addition, you should remove the gauge as soon as possible. Although there may be one made for the presta valve that works as easily as those for the scrader valve, I have not been able to find Whether you have a ball valve or a butterfly valve, this gauge will work
There is nothing wrong with it. Different people have different standards. It is compact enough to fit in my saddle bag, but I don't think I'd need to carry it

A big digital screen is a pro for me when it comes to using the Topeak D2 SmartGauge tire gauge. You'll have no trouble reading it. A compact size, that it works with Presta and Schrader valves, have both attracted my attention. In addition to being able to rotate the gauge nozzle, I like the fact that the LCD screen can be seen from the nozzle. Last but not least, the material (plastic) used is of decent quality There is no feeling of flimsiness. Cons
Air Pressure Release
If the pressure is overinflated, the unit has the option to release the pressure. It allows you to obtain a pressure that is precise. In order for this feature to work, you must first press the "Tune" button to tell the gauge to recalculate pressure as you release pressure, otherwise it will not do so. In my opinion, this seems strange since I have another gauge that automatically calculates pressure when the air pressure release valve is used, so no extra steps are required. It is only because my original gauge only works with Schrader valves that I purchased another one. In terms of price, I think the gauge is a bit overpriced. In my opinion, it would be better to price it at 19 dollars. Despite the way the air pressure release functions with the pressure recalculation, and the pricing, the Topeak D2 SmartGauge is a decent gauge. I believe that it is a decent gauge for all the reasons I stated. This is your best and pretty much only choice if you want a better digital gauge than what you can find at an auto part store or gas station.
It's actually quite interesting to see this device used in an advertisement by GMBH. According to the specifications, it works To achieve the best results, inflate your tires a little above your targeted In my mountain biking training, I run 19 km per hour. Five of them are at the back and 18 at the I want to go to where it reads 21-27 on my floor pump Use the tune mode to lower the pressure to 23 psi, then use the tune mode to raise the pressure again to desired level. There was no loss of air when I removed the presta valve. I have been a tire pressure tuning professional for years using hundreds of different devices to set tire pressure, and this is one of the most accurate ones I have ever used. Please refer to the note below The pressure reading was stated to be inaccurate by someone. It is not uncommon for the readings of pressure gauges to differ, especially those that use analog digits or those that are attached to a pump and use the pressure generated by the back pressure. There are no anomalies with this gauge, which is very important. Therefore, if it gives you a different reading from that of a pump gauge or other gauge, do not worry, just ride the bike and see what pressure setting gives you the correct feeling.
This gauge was purchased in order to replace the original Topeak tire pressure gauge I purchased I thought it was time for a new one since the one I have now has dark spots on the screen. Topeak gauges date back more than 20 years. Since is has provided good service when I bought it, I figured it would be smart to buy it when the newer technology becomes available
The two gauges are different, but do the same thing- It is used to measure the atmospheric Although the new gauge has more features, for me one of their gauges (Topeak) was still working 20 years after I purchased it, and there was no way I was going to buy anything else. Also, my 20 year old Topeak air pressure gauge uses the same button battery (2032). With a 20 year old gauge, the battery lasts for a long time. Topeak felt changing battery types would be a waste of time and money.
The quality of the reading is quite As well as on Presta and Schraeder valves, I have used this to get the best results. In neither case did the measurement come close to being accurate. Most of what I'm interested in using on my bike tires and mostly what I've for this In every case, it was significantly off by 80 pounds is that amount. A pound or so less than 40 pounds. Now I am out of time to return the unit if it is a bad unit. am not sure if I would be enthusiastic about such an endeavor I would be happy with it even if it was working My opinion is that it does not appear to be very high quality. Considering this is the first review I have ever written, when I say I'm unhappy, I think the fact that it's the very first time I've ever done so confirms that feeling!.
Your tires begin to leak air as soon as you touch the presta valve with it. In about 1 out of 10 cases you could put it on normally without leaking tons of air, but you have to be very quick to push it over the valve. My only problem with this product is that although it is designed with aesthetically pleasing aesthetics, it isn't functional at all.
The gauge I've been using has become more and more useful every time. In the first instance, it was a little difficult to use on my road bike's presta valves because, as you can see in the picture, no channel was provided, with which to place the valve before it activated. Therefore, it took some time to figure out how to press it onto the valve quickly without losing a lot of air from the tire. However, I can confidently check the pressure with no pressure loss. One of my favorite features of the system is the ability to bleed down the air pressure using a built-in feature allowing you to see the reading of the pressure as you pressurize. When you use carbon dioxide to fill your tires, this is handy. My seat bag has a lot of space with this bag. It is well made, but it is bigger than I prefer. They could easily fit in the back pocket of a jersey.
