It's the fork on the front of your bike that fits into the block. Yes, I believe it will work. However, I've only used it on my hybrid and road bikes so far. In the back of my truck, it doubles as a bike rack.

On a 2008 Honda Ridgeline, it was mounted to the front wall of the bed, which was a very simple mount and much less expensive than the Yakima/Thule options. The hardware for the mount is 1/4". The bed panel was removed, and I reinforced the area with 1/8" x 2" flat bar. Plan to buy one or two more to avoid having to use a hitch rack when the bikes aren't being hauled. While camping, I only needed this one to supplement a Kuat Transfer 2 bike hitch rack. The only drawback is that it is about 3/16 to 1/4 wider than the forks on my Murray, which is 20 years old. The forks are easily spread so that they can be slipped onto the mount.
This item appeared to be in good condition. I was able to install it myself because I knew what was under the sheet metal of my truck's bed, but if you don't know what's under the sheet metal of your truck's bed, you should probably hire a mechanic to do it for you. It looks good and stays out of the way. It doesn't have many security features, but there are two small voids in the frame that you can run a cable lock through, so it does have some security features.
Ours was mounted to a wood post, then a ratchet strap was threaded through the bike's body and secured to the tailgate hooks. This makes accessing the bikes from the tailgate (8-foot bed) a breeze. This item is extremely durable. I'm sick of using the back of the travel trailer as a bike rack. I was on the verge of losing my bike. Thank you to the passing motorist who informed us. This appears to be a more efficient and secure mode of transportation. We were able to fit three bikes into the space. We were able to mount them closer together because the daughter's bike is 2" smaller. There's still space for a few more bicycles.
I bought two of these and mounted one on each of two 36" 2X6 boards. That should be sufficient to keep the bike upright and stable. For travel, it's right in the camper. Two bikes, each with its own mount, are stacked next to each other, taking up very little room. Instead of being exposed to the elements on an outboard bike rack, they are safe and secure in the locked camper.
Look at the photos. The Velcro hook strips that grip the carpet of the vehicle are shown in the second photo. My bike is comfortable, but I can see how removing or lowering the saddle/seat post assembly (or using a larger vehicle) would be necessary for bikes for tall riders. The bike is held safely and securely in an interior bike holder. as well as Theft, vandalism, and the weather are all factors that must be considered. br>br>These fork blocks are fantastic in any case; There's no need to spend more money for a more expensive version with a more prestigious brand name.
For my pickup truck, I purchased this fork mount. I used stainless bolts to secure a 2 by 8 on the wall. I use it about ten times a week, and it's been holding up well so far. It has been exposed to a lot of humidity and rain, but there are no signs of rust or corrosion on it. For similar mounts, I paid nearly half of what the more well-known brands charge, and the majority of people who use mine prefer it. The quick release lever is sturdy, and it appears to be able to withstand the elements and daily exposure to the sun in the back of my truck. br>br>I noticed that the "axis" is lower than the handle, according to a couple of reviewers. At first, I got it. But I paused for a moment to consider it. Simply rotate the threaded cap on the opposite side and tighten the lever upward; I'm so pleased with it that I ordered two more. This is a fantastic fork mount for your bicycle!.
We used these directly on the floor of our van install and so far so good, bikes stay where they should, but are easy to remove when we need them!.
I found exactly what I needed. The bike traveled 6 hours each way on a trip thanks to the husband's attachment to the truck cover. The fact that it was so stable made us very happy. What a fantastic purchase!.
