There's a bad smell and it doesn't wear off after a few minutes. The process is so simple. Buying another basket, which had more complicated mounting and was just awful, was not the best decision. I am in love with this one. To get it on, I had to bend around cables a little (and it came with a strong smell, but I think that's just the packaging), but it works well. I may have lowered it even more because of how bad the smell is. As far as I know, I've kept it outside in the cold ever since I got it because the smell made me sick to my stomach. If breathing that in causes harm, I would assume it Spray paint or thinner or something along those lines must be the scent.

Open, the container measures approximately 12 inch wide by 7 inch deep. The dimensions of the bed are 5 inches deep by 8 inches high. In order to make my use of the handle bar hangers, I had to cut them off. The hose clamps I used to attach it to my front rack are 1/4 inch ones. Bringing my kids on a tandem does not allow me to use a rear rack. It's spring loaded, so pull it out when it unfolds and make sure you have a firm grip on.

I like the basket very much. When it's folded back up, it's beautiful! There is nothing more I had to do than zip tie the basket to the bottom of my bike, so it wouldn't pop if I went over a big bump. Reuse is easy since it holds a re-use The bag can be used for shopping, or the bags can be thrown away. You need to squeeze the hooks to ensure that they will fit before you put them on if your pipes are smaller than the clamp hooks. You would have to work a lot harder if you did it later! What a surprise! To ensure that the screw protectors are the right size, cut the plastic to the correct width. When I tried to install them on my first attempt, I just squeezed them, and they're way too tough.

Upon mounting it to my old schwinn, it became part of my cargo. When not in use, I like that it can be folded down. When we need it, it appears out of thin air. This device cannot fit on the handlebars. There is no possible way that it could fit any handlebars. Since it hangs so low, it can be used as saddlebags or baskets. In any case, once it has been attached (I used hose clamps) to the cargo hold of my van it is very efficient, and I am satisfied You can see that I put a car battery inside to give you an idea of how large it will be. In addition, there is a gallon of milk and a week's worth of groceries (not included).

A collapsible basket caught my eye and I was so excited! Having purchased it for my beach cruiser, I found it fit perfectly on the curved handle bars (it's a men's Gravity EZ Cruz). do not plan to remove the basket from my bike, so I needed to use zip ties to keep it secure when I was riding. There are zip ties around it to keep it in place, so it stays put. During collapse, this bike folds up to a flat surface, so I can keep it in my small apartment with not a lot of space being taken up. The springy nature of the bag makes it easy to open, and folding it up is just as easy. This is a totally recommendable product.

The quality is pretty good, but it is rather expensive. While it is great for the size, the material is thin and fragile. In addition, the connection point (the upside U hook) is waaay too wide to use at any reasonable place on a bike. It is quite loose, and shakes around when I ride. Overall, it seems to be almost OK, but I would not recommend it to anyone. ****Edit for style The stars on my rating went up from 2 to 1 after I used it for a week. There is no doubt that it's a basket, but it entails some serious pity. A clear rubber/plastic piece that came with it shrank and fell off in the cold. If I were to purchase this product, I would probably spend no more than $3.
