The tool and tackle boxes my dad uses today have been around since before I was born in the 1980s. In reality, Plano or Amazon or whoever is responsible for listing the actual dimensions must come to these pages. Based on other customer reviews and comments, I ended up with a box that was four inches longer than I had anticipated. When you add the handles and straps, the car is just over 24 inches long total. that I have two closet spaces instead of four, I have less room for clothes.
Although it's not a penguin case, this is an incredible deal for the price!.
My roof rack holds all my camping gear, so these boxes are the perfect size. Besides keeping out dust, mud, and water, it also keeps the area dry. When I have driven in the rain with them on my roof, I have never had any water enter. Even though they aren't waterproof, they have never let any water in. My husband and I purchased this container so we could keep our varmint/predator hunting gear together in one location. It left our stuff with a strong plastic odor because it had been in another plastic box.
