My bike is a strider, but this basket is on a different bike, and it should fit perfectly across. We secured it with zip ties. It's probably a little close to the wheel if you lower the handle bars all the way, but we've never used the strider bike that way. If they were just close, they'd probably be fine. We really like this basket, and the lights are still working after a year.
I'm not sure what a balance bike is, but the basket is secured to the handlebars with zip ties. It should still work as long as there are handlebars on it.
For an 8-year-old, this is ideal. We bought this for our 8-year-old daughter's birthday because she wanted a basket to ride around in with her rag doll. You will not be disappointed with this product. It even turns on and off. It's adorable!

I bought this to put on the bike my daughter and I got her for Christmas because she really wanted a basket bike. The lights on the flowers in this basket were an added bonus for me because they were not only cute, but they also added a level of visibility. The only issue was that the plastic clips they provided to install the basket were not secure, so we decided to use white zip ties instead, which worked perfectly well and were secure. Also, one of the lights had little plastic strips you had to pull out to get the lights to start working, then the lights are supposed to flash whenever they move (motion activated), but the flower in the middle came on solid when I pulled the plastic thing out, wouldn't shut off, and then stopped working entirely within 24 hours, while the other two flowers would flash when they moved but also stopped working entirely within a few days, and my daughter has barely gotten to ride her bike yet. I don't see any way to replace the batteries, so they're just dead flowers now. So, if the flashing lights are a selling point for you, go ahead and buy it. don’t.

You'll need to pull the plastic tabs on each of the flowers after removing the bag. The batteries will make contact and the lights within the flowers will blink as a result. When the bike is bumped, the lights blink briefly before turning off to save battery power. It glistens with every bump she takes, and she adores it. I was looking for a basket that was large enough to hold her water bottle, a snack, and a small toy, but not your typical basket. This was perfect; we've had it for about 6 or 7 months and it still works, so no issues there, but you DO need zip ties to put it on, as everyone else has said; It comes with two ties, but they're useless, so I added four zip ties to keep it secure. br>br>Overall, this is an excellent purchase.
This is a lovely basket. I purchased it as a Christmas present for my daughter's bike. It was a low-cost way of making it more interesting. It works, but I'm sure it won't last long, and there's no way to replace the batteries that I can see. I had my husband add zip ties to it after it was installed to keep it in place better. Nonetheless, I believe it is a good price for such a lovely basket.
The basket makes me happy. Zip ties were used to secure it to my daughter's bike. no issue. Small items are placed inside by my daughter. I believe it would be a suitable basket (in terms of size) for a 3-year-old. I'd say he's about 7 years old. Following that, it's possible that it'll be a little tight. Also, if you're loading it up on a regular basis, I'd expect it to fail sooner rather than later. Zip ties are still used to hold the weaved plastic in place. For us, it's mostly about appearances and stowing away the odd books, stuffed animals, rocks/sticks, and other items that my daughter enjoys toting around.
It's a big hit with my three-year-old daughter. My daughter's bike is a 12 inch, so it's definitely more suited for a smaller kids bike. The ties that came with the basket were useless and didn't fit her bike, so I quickly replaced them with two zip ties. The three lights are all bright red and work well. This basket holds a small water bottle or sippy cup, as well as my daughter's favorite doll. She will occasionally stuff three or four Barbie dolls in there, but it is a tight fit.
