I like the feel and fit of this cover. It fits my Rad Power bike's hole location well. The only concern I have is There are two brackets included with the basket, however they seem a little soft and in certain conditions they may not be able to secure the basket well.

all, I like that it's the perfect size for holding my helmet and bike lock. It also is large enough to hold a backpack or a couple bags of groceries easily. Although it was super easy to install, I was a little concerned when it came to tightening the basket on the bike. The bracket and basket are easily bent and I didn't want to make a hole in them. (The basket appears to be made from a super thin wire with a plastic coating on top that can easily be broken through with little pressure). In one of the pictures, I circled in red the small defect that it had when it arrived, which I believe happened when it was being made (it clearly appears to be made from plastic melted with thin wire woven through it). While I'm satisfied with the basket, I expected it to be of higher quality for the price. I would probably shop around to find a better deal next time. By the way, the cover that came with the basket had an extremely strong, toxic odor, and it was extremely strong. The grocery basket would probably be too cumbersome to use with it when I have multiple items in it.

I therefore wanted an option for removing the basket when not using it, and removing it when using it for groceries, etc. The original mounting system that came with this basket uses zip ties or screws, neither of which allow for the basket to be quickly removed. Although this basket does not fit the Basil MIK system on my bike rack, it does fit perfectly There is a standard Bontrager (trek) backrack for me. To use the MIK, both the MIK Carrier Plate and the MIK Adapter Plate are required. In addition, you have to attach the Adapter plate to the basket before mounting the Carrier plate to your bike rack. With the MIK system, the basket is then simply clicked into place when needed and removable with a key, allowing for easy packing and carrying. Note that the carrier plate is connected to the rear rack by a screw, so it is part of the rack This attachment is permanent and cannot be removed without special Having a low profile and light weight bike rack I did not mind it since I use my bike rack only to secure a cargo basket attached to my bike. Thanks to its two installation methods, it can be installed in a variety of ways. I gave up on installing the screws and plates on my folding eBike as they were easy to install if one turned it upside down or flipped it on its side. I used all 8 zip ties to attach to the frame of my eBike. My electric bike is quite heavy and not as easy to maneuver as I'd like.

My Yorkie was able to fit in this basket without any difficulty. Assembling the baskets brackets to my bike rack proved difficult because the liner fit perfectly without any issues. Due to the second bracket not being available, we had to use the ties instead. In spite of its appearance, when I took my bike for a spin and I came to a sudden stop, I lost my balance and the bike fell over on its side. Two of the ties broke off the basket, and two others ripped holes in the metal mesh. My dog was extremely thankful not to have been In order to find a plastic basket, I have decided to look around. This one will go in the trash.

The design is solid and well constructed. The rear rack basket is so far proving to be an excellent purchase. A lot of thought has gone into the mounting hardware - You should check that out, especially the flat bar mounting bracket. Just to be on the safe side, I used the mounting bracket, bolts, and cable ties, just to be on the safe side. I put some stuff in it, and it seems to have been very sturdy, mounted securely, and has easily carried what I put in it. With the basket full, I draped a mesh bungee designed for bikes and motorcycles over the top. I then used cable ties in the form of small loops to attach the bungee system to hold whatever I put in the basket into place. The basket is exactly the right size for a back bike rack, and does not extend out past the sides of the bike. It also makes it easy to reach back and grab something that is left behind while riding.
