January was the month in which I purchased it. During the month of May, the lock became It is physically impossible for me to remove this from the item because the lock literally disintegrated when I try to twist the key after only using it a handful of times. It has now become impossible for me to take The stupid thing is still on, and now I have to try to remove it.
During my walk along the beach, I had been looking for a way to lock up two kayaks. The DocksLocks security cable is the perfect solution for my application because they need to withstand salt water even though they will not be exposed to salt air for more than a few weeks at a time. I only had a problem with the cable availability because the only one available was the longest one, which I wasn't really interested in. My ultimate objective will be to be happy with the extra length in the future.
Whenever we camp with our kayaks, we use this to lock them up. Our long one is locking to something solid so that we can secure it. No way would anyone ever be able to cut through this cable, in my opinion.
I used it for about 2 years before I realized I had a problem. Some of the plastic around the lock got loose after a year and it started moving It was cut recently, and it quickly became apparent that it was quite easy to cut. When I tested it myself with a pair of tin snips, it took me just 25 seconds to complete it. I would recommend that you do not have this as your main security if it is somewhere you are worried about.
It is easy to attach to items and the lock works well. A cable will be very difficult to cutting by a criminal due to its strength. It's amazing how beautiful the blue color is. Having a lock cable on the back of my truck gives me peace of mind at night knowing that my Yeti is safe and secure.
We recommend that you do not use this lock outdoors or under adverse weather conditions. The lock corroded and I tried using WD 40 to loosen it up, but had to hire a locksmith to cut it off because it wouldn't loosen up.
This is where the narrow end of the lock is inserted. An X-shaped bar was wrapped with the lock.
