It's not true, because you have to pull out the bar plug and then insert the mirror. As a rule of thumb, if you use thicker bar tape, you will have to trim it back a little (like I did), but otherwise I have not experienced any issues. I am very pleased with the mirror
This is a mirror I use on my carbon fiber bar, and I never thought of using it that way.

The biggest problem is that there is a tiny viewing area and it is convex. This means that it can be challenging to see vehicles and they appear much further away than they actually When certain conditions exist, such as an unlit daytime running light, a gray car, a grey road, or a car without a headlight, a car can be very close to the driver before becoming clearly Moreover, the quality is poor for its price. As others have commented, since even when used carefully, the mirror surface deteriorates, making visibility even more limited. The knob is loose in the socket so that any significant bump in the road causes the mirror to move, which requires constant readjusting. The knob can be temporarily fixed by wrapping tape around it, but if it was designed properly in the first place, there wouldn't be any need for this. Thus, it'd probably be better to have a mirror than to have The display is good looking and can be useful (when it hasn't been knocked out of position) if you ride pace lines or check first When you pull out of your lane, look over your shoulder to ensure you are not going the wrong way. In the interests of safety, I have now replaced my Sprintechs with mirrors that are slightly nerdier, giving me better visibility and a more streamlined appearance.
While on the road, you can spot. When it is important for me to acquire visual information of approaching vehicles from behind, why do I need to twist my vertebrae so much? I slept on my neck incorrectly the night before. How can I proceed to ride my bike if I did so? Despite how perceived problems in the past have been, this mirror fixes many of them, and this at such a small cost to the bank balance! wide, and my knee sometimes hits the mirror while I stand upon the pedals, but there is no piece of light. It is so remarkable that refraction technology has proven so beneficial to users of such a am of the opinion that, while this thin, metallic sheen of reflective material won't replace always keeping your eyes on the rear view mirror in every situation, it will prevent you from making a lot of costly errors. • crankshafts Hence, you will not have to worry about your neck getting cut off. The slim size of this unit is aesthetically pleasing, and it fits right into the end of a drop-in unit This is an amazing bar setup, looks as if it was created right into my bike! The classic road certainly does not satisfy the eye as much as this. A bike mirror setup that has an elongated arm that extends into yonder space. There is no doubt in my mind that you are going to be a You should know- Are cyclists present? In spite of the fact that there is a bilateral option(2 mirrors) for a reduced sum of each piece, I declare that having a mirror on the pedestrian side of my modern pennyfarthing is not necessary. Though it makes the bike look very unsymmetrical, having one mirror on only one side of the bike is not only cost-effective, it covers 95% of all possible uses for that bike. There is no doubt in my mind that this mirror is a good choice.
Here are my thoughts about the reviews, I think most are valid, and here are the points that I agree with *** * * There is a convex mirror on the mirror that makes vehicles from way back look very small*- It stays in place when I stand up, but occasionally my knees hit it, which does not hurt or harm the mirror, but you will need to reposition it - As long as I keep it up, it can be used TO CHECK FOR FURTHER APPROACHING CARS WHEN YOU WANT TO MOVE OVER SLIGHTLY TO MISS A POTHOLE OR STICK. Honestly, I would never use it to cross or change lanes. There is no replacement for looking the other way, but overall I would say it is of good quality for what it does.
I like the way it looks and it works perfectly in my bike. Be sure you run some hot water over the plug before you insert it into your handlebar, and it will be easier to insert.
In regards to this Sprintech Road Drop Bar Rearview Bike Mirror, I began using it since I have been using an EVT Safe Zone Bicycle Helmet Mirror for the last two years. In order to solve two issues I have with the EVT Safe, I wanted to buy the Sprintech mirror to see if it could solve them. I. 1. As soon as I touch the mirror or anything touches it, I need to adjust it again, and this happens a lot. It sometimes happens to me and I am not always aware of it until the ride has started and I am able to see the mirror is out of position. I need to stop riding in order to get it back into position. A ride
2 cannot be conducted while the ride is in progress. My first ride with two mirrors wasn't so great in photos
so today I did my first ride with both mirrors installed. Let's go over to see if the problems were resolved. I. 1. Approximately half the problem has been solved Whenever I stepped on the pedals and stood, the mirror moved. In the last couple of days, I moved my knee. It is good news I do not pedal much while standing, and if the mirror has moved, it can be returned to its previous position during my ride. There's no need for you The problem has been The only bad news is that you can see behind you while riding in the field of view of which you have access. Using my EVT mirror, I am able to see vehicles and riders clearly as if I were peering backwards. My head is directly over the road so I can see everything from my head to my toes. As a result of the Sprintech mirror, my site is small and limited.
What I'm saying is that if I had first purchased the Sprintech mirror, there is a high likelihood it would not have been replaced. It's not like that in this case. compared the EVT helmet mirror to the Sprintech mirror and while the Sprintech mirror almost completely solved my problems with the EVT helmet mirror, I would rather use the EVT helmet mirror for the simple reason that I can see more and more clearly what is happening behind me.
In order to replace a mirror I cracked, I purchased this mirror. As a result, you are restricted in your ability to adjust this mirror due to its short neck. Here are the pictures showing this mirror on the left and the mirror on the right that I removed. You have more freedom to adjust the mirror to your preference since the neck of the mirror to the right is longer. The neck of this mirror is too short, leaving it with little space for moving for good road visibility. This is an okay installation, the make seems reasonable, I give it at best a C+.
