Hello, and many thanks for your inquiry! br>When compared to G brand trickline, our set has a little less stretch but a lot more strength, so it's best for beginners. br>This video shows the stretch is okay for jumping, but do not perform extreme moves on that line.br>(Performed by Professionals; DO NOT attempt to duplicate any tricks from this video)br>Thank you again for your question and interest in our product!
PLEASE DO NOT WALK ON THE TRAINING LINE, EVEN IF YOU ARE A BEGINNER! br>If you're a pro, you can use it as a portable walking line, which is fine; we do test the strength of our training lines. br>However, it is NOT RECOMMENDED IN ANY WAY. br>(Professionals performed the moves in this video.) Balancing on the line appears to be easier for children than for adults without practice, but beginners will find it much easier to maintain control with the help of an overhead training line and a balance strap. br>br>The slackline took about 25 minutes to set up the first time we used it, but it became easier and faster the second time. The tree protectors themselves are made of a heavy felt material with a thin backing to keep the felt from snagging on the tree bark. They have velcro on one end so you can secure them to the tree trunk. The tree protectors' loops make it much easier to keep the slackline aligned on the protector while everything is set up. While the tree protectors protect the trunk, they're also necessary to keep the trunk from shredding the slackline. The overhead training line doesn't have a trunk protector, but it's probably fine without it because it's not designed to carry your full weight. The stitching and coverings on the parts of the slackline that might be chafed are all very well stitched and should last for a long time before showing signs of wear. br>br>The slackline ratchet is heavy and does the job well. The ratchet has a few minor flaws: it was coated in oil when it arrived, making it smelly and slick (wipe it down before using). Because the ratchet handle's spring release is simply stamped metal, pulling on it with your fingers to release the tension and put your slackline away can be a little painful. br>br>There are a few other minor flaws in what you get: br>br>* White isn't the best color for a slackline because it quickly becomes dirty. br>* The carry bag is barely big enough to hold everything. The bag can't be cinched completely closed even when it "fits"br>* The ratchet protector barely fits around the ratchet and requires the ratchet handle to be completely closedbr>* It would've been nice to include some straps to keep the slackline and overhead training line from unrolling on their own.
I'm no expert, but I wanted to get this for some college friends to enjoy. We set it up fairly quickly, and we even had some kids jump one and use it with the safety rope and the assistance of an adult. It had been a great time. br>br>Everything you'll need is included in the package. The carry bag is a tad on the small side, but it gets the job done. I wish it was a little bigger so things could fit with enough room to actually cinch closed, but the slack line and other items included in the set are perfect. br>br>I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to try something new, improve their balance, or simply have a good laugh with friends. Use the safety line if you've never done it before or are having trouble at first; it'll be extremely helpful and will make things much safer. If you fall off this line, it can be dangerous, so be careful when putting it up and choosing the height, and then have fun!.
The "slackline" is essentially a tightrope, and Kodiak Straps makes it clear in the included instructions that it is dangerous even when set up properly. Between two trees, about 30 feet away, I have a level area over grass with no obstructions. I've tried it out on a few people. The instructions that came with the package were straightforward. However, we've found it extremely difficult to balance on, and for safety reasons, we've had two helpers, one on each side of the person balancing. It's enjoyable because it's so difficult. This kit has an overhead line, which I think is a great feature. Perhaps a harness will be included in the next iteration.
It was a huge hit with both children and adults, though the children used it far more than the adults. It was simple to set up and dismantle. The instructions were straightforward and simple to follow. I did have to tighten the slack line after the kids used it for a while, but I'm sure that's to be expected given that they were on it for hours and were bouncing and such. This is my first slack line, and I'm pleased with it thus far. br>br>One thing to keep in mind is that if you grip the training line tightly and slide your hand along it, it can sever your hand or fingers. That was something I did on my own, but no one else did.
Slackline kit of the highest quality. It comes with everything you'll need to get started. The rachets are solid and simple to use, and the straps are nice and heavy. It's nice that it includes a tree-cutting kit. Savers are used to keep the strap from slipping and to protect the tree's bark. This is something that the children really enjoy. Now I just need about 5 more to build a slackline park in the woods!.
This is a substantial slackline set. heavy. Similar to a tow line, you'll need a lot of smoke on the ratchet to get the line tight, but everything works out fine. My grandson will have a lot of fun.
