Because I only have two years left on my father's insurance, I'm running out of time to learn things that I'm sure I won't be able to do and will end up storing in a closet once the first broken bone occurs. The package arrived two days earlier than anticipated! I'm sure I won't miss it when my face hits the ground because the color is incredible. I'm hoping I don't break any bones here anytime soon, but if I do, I suppose the only thing I'll lose is my dignity and the pain I'll be in. I'm going to order a gibbon post for it soon so I can practice on softer grass instead of the wooded park areas, though it might be cheaper to just get some bubble wrap and duct tape now that I think about it. So, here's to 24 and many more broken bones in the future! Maybe by the time I'm 25, I'll be an adult!.
After trying out a Barefoot brand slackline at a bouldering gym and having a Gibbons classic slackline, we decided to try this one. Because it was half the price, we didn't expect it to be as good as Gibbons, but we hoped it would be adequate. This slackline is much better quality overall than some of the other low-cost, non-name-brand slacklines we tested, but the ratchets have some quality control issues. br>br>We bought two slacklines and noticed that, while the webbing is high quality and there is more included than Gibbons classic (carry bag and overhead training line), there are some disappointing issues: the ratchet on one works well, albeit not as sturdy or high quality as Gibbons, and the ratchet on the other is quite fidgety - It's a lot harder to tension than the first one, and the teeth don't always line up perfectly to allow the ratchet to lock or de-lock. To get it to tension, lock, and de-tension properly, you'll need to pay close attention and have a little more patience. tension. We didn't return it because it was a gift, and there was no way of knowing whether the replacement ratchet would be any better. We were disappointed by the ratchet issue because this is a great slackline in general, and at half the price of Gibbons, it makes slacklining more accessible.
The writing on the top provides additional grip, and the setup is quick and easy. The tree protectors are far more durable and long-lasting than Gibbons tree protectors. We don't use the included training line because it's similar to riding a bike with training wheels on. It makes it difficult for a beginner to learn to slackline, but it's a nice bonus for those who do. Everyone appreciates how cool it looks, and the neon color makes it easy to notice and track. The cost is extremely reasonable. While we wish the ratchet had a slower release like Gibbons (so it wouldn't suddenly release on occasion), and that it came with a ratchet cover, it's an excellent product at a great price! We had a number of visitors, all of whom enjoyed themselves. The line is VERY STRONG and DURABLE, as well as looking fantastic! Even for someone who had never slacklined before, the setup was simple. It was a big hit with our resident slackliner, who said it had the perfect amount of stretch. The only things I noticed that could be improved were the tree protection, which was too short for the trees we were using, and the ratched, which got stuck a little when I released it. Aside from that, the color is fantastic, the line is silky smooth, and it was simple to tighten and remove. Because it was getting dark quickly, the bag was large enough to just stuff the slackline in. A big thumbs up!.
This item was fantastic, and the kids absolutely loved it. The line just snapped clean in half in the middle while my nephew was on it tonight, after three months of fun. Fortunately, no one was hurt, but this is a serious safety concern. Tomorrow, I'll make contact with the company.
The slackline is fantastic in and of itself. It is a huge hit with the kids (and the adults, too)! 15 meters is a great length because it allows you to move around freely on the line and it also works well for shorter distances. The training line, on the other hand, had a problem: the ratchet broke after only a few uses. It's been a few days since the Amazon return window closed, so I'll have to contact the company to see what I can do.
My now-seven-year-old identical twin boys decided they wanted to be ninjas. After much research, Santa delivered the yellow Barefoot Slackline. It was connected between two trees in our yard, along with the training line, as soon as the temperatures in New York rose above freezing, and the twins, along with their 10-year-old sister, have burned off so much energy on it. It's been used by my older children without any problems - ages 14- Durable products are essential for a single mom to make ends meet. Since being installed outside, this slackline has not weakened or loosened in the least. This is something I would strongly recommend to any family!.
Additionally, the tree wraps are slightly wider. I had to purchase the wraps separately because the gibbon line was just that: a line. Overall, this was a lot less expensive and did the same job. A fantastic purchase!.
